what do YOU think is the best

In an attempt to get the community into an interesting discussion, a simple question:

What is the best battlezone game? Battlezone, Battlezone II, Red Odyssey, or Forgotten Enemies

My choice would have to be BZII. The graphics are much better than the original plus you can command a lot more ships than before. couple that with a rich storlina and awesome new weapons, it beats down the original with relative ease.

--not to say the original wasn't good.

I would have to say Forgotten Enemies mainly because of the Hadeans and Cerberi makes for interesting battles.

I would say FE, IF it was made in the latest BZ2 engine version (5.1). Mainly because i think it could be SO much better in it. However i think stock BZII, just because of the atmosphere it gives. (stock stock)

Forgotten Enemies is bad-ass dude. I played it a lot and still do.

oh yeh sure its wicked, but it would be awesome if it took advantage of all the patch features. For its time however, it was the best.

i agree, FE delivers excellent graphics and sounds but there was just to much of escorting the recycler and various other minor complications. Hence why i voted for the original BZ2

And the voices weren't as good as the stock version. But then it was a community project.

well, we are a few days into the poll and it would appear that BZ2 has taken the lead with five votes with the red oddesey trailing in last with not  a single vote and FE and BZ1 tying for second with three votes each.

Bz1 was the best for gameplay, Bz2 for graphics and modability, and FE for fun. TRO was Ok, but a bit too hard.

TRO gets points for expanding on BZ1 while keeping atmosphere.
I like BZ2 better than BZ1 for the stability and mod-ability we have. We can put BZ1 in BZ2 almost perfectly in the latest 1.3, as with all other Battlezone games/mods.
