no mouse and no atl/tab return to deskotp

hello,
i have 1.3 installed but the mouse is no function, no move
and
there is no return to the windows desktop via atl/tab

whats wrong, anybody any idea ?

is there a tread in this forum you can show me with the same problem ?

That is odd.  Does your mouse work in the shell, basically at the main menu?  If not, something is wrong with your setup/install.  Alt Tab should work, works for me and probably many others.  I'm not sure.  Maybe something went wrong during installation.

What OS are you running?
And are you sure your Mouse and/or Keyboard is plugged in properly?

why are you alt tabbing? a lockup?
if its a lockup it could be your comp going slow, and alt tabbing in 1.3 doesnt stop bz2 from running, so it may just take a long time...

@ cmdo : the mouse is working in the shell or in the menu.
the mouse is working in a parallel installation of bzII with 1.2.
(there i play online and single player game)

@BD: wxp pro sp1 and the mouse and keyboard ist plug in probarly..

@ Spwn : i make alt tabbing to make a new mp3 list in winamp, and when there is a text message in skype, then it switch to the desktop too.sorry, and there is a return to the desktop, but no return to the game.
info:  my desktop resolution is 1280 x 1024, in the game it is 1024 x 768.
i have waited 1 min., maybe i have loooonger to wait ?

bzII is such a good game..
i have to play with 1.2 in the future...

oh, ive had that problem also.  you cant alt tab into bz2 for some reason, you need to click on the battlezone ii tab in the taskbar and it will come up.  Did you know that in 1.3 you can have bz2 play music from the cd drive without an outside program?

You out to be able to do that in 1.2 also with the no CD patch/hack
