ok, now this is *very* odd, whenever I quit 1.3 my screen becomes alot brighter untill the next reboot...

I tried to take pics but jpeg made it look the same, I could probably get bmps to look difrent if needed

What video card and drivers are you guys using?  

It used to do that with my old ATI drivers v3.7.  (Obviously it's not the exact same problem).

ATI as well, latest drivers though, happend with old ones as well

ATI latest drivers I think.  Didn't happen with my GF4 Ti4400.

Does ATI video have separate application profiling for colors (and other display properties)?  That's what seems to be happening, unless it really is a driver bug.
