Wrong Version - pb2?

Look where it says Version: pb2, shouldn't that say pb3?

and it was a pb3 session becuase i was able to join it.

Ya, I got that too, squirrel.   I think rus, or yeah was hosting.  But i also had 1.3pb3 and the "pb2" shows up, and I was still able to join w/o bad assets.

and if you changed it to pb3 in the localize.odf the servers would show up as red.

and which one it shows a compatible BUT i just use 1.3PB3 to join a STOCK 1.3PB2 server i guess i doesn't work with G66

You cant join an actual pb2 game if your on pb3..

GSH forgot to increment the version number in localize.odf for public beta 3 so it still shows up as public beta 2.  It shouldn't even allow you to join a public beta 2 server when you are running public beta 3.  You should get connection refused if you try to enter one.

Yep, you get a connection refused. Deadeye you must be mistaken bout the host being on PB2, even if they are white, it will NOT let you join them.

actuly i have joined a server that say it is 13.PB2 how ever if the localize.odf is not the corect ver. then any 1.3PB3 server would show up as a 1.3PB2 server

Correct.. That is how gamespy is able to tell which version you are playing as long as the version is bumped up in localize.odf.

All 1.3 Public Beta 3 servers show up on gamespy as 1.3 pb2, therefore you will be able to join servers that say they are running pb2.  Unless a particular host modifies his/her localize.odf, his public beta 3 server will show up as pb2 for the version.
