Just got a nasty crash. My pc stopped responding completely, I couldn't even use ctrl+alt+del to get out. I had to restart my pc, then check my drives for errors.  :x

No idea.  There is no useful information in your logs.  If bz2 AVed, the info doesn't get recorded in the log file.

When it AV's like that, sometimes it will pop up a window behind the scenes.  Alt-Tab to it, select it, then Ctrl-A/Ctrl-C, then close the window and paste it into something.

When bz2 compleatly fails, and there is no way out other than rebooting, first try hybernating.  Sleep isn't deep enough, but if you hybernate your PC and then bring it back, and then if you are in XP and log back into your user, bz2 will be minimized and you can safely close it via right clicking on it in the taskbar.

My PC hybernates if I pres the power button once, most turn off *corectly* when you do that.  I think it may be a setting on the BIOS page you can get during boot up, check it out but if your only looking be sure to exit without saving changes uless your damn sure what your doing.

Okay, I'll post the jargin after this.

I seem to have this problem no matter what machine I run it on. But once I was able to host an online G66 MPI BZ2 Public Beta 3 game on this computer, with a ginormous base for nearly 9 hours! I think it was late last year?

I'm thinking maybe its the newly updated video drivers I'm using for my card that could be causing these constant crashes all of a sudden. It didn't use to be this bad. I have a 6800 GT. Does anyone know of any drivers for nvidea cards that work very well with BZ2?

Also, does BZ2 PB3 run without ever crashing on any of your systems? If so, what parts are you using for your ram, mobo, vcard (and drivers), and cpu?

Another thought, I have the fan over my cpu a little low. I didn't think BZ2 would be very hard on a 4000+ San Diego... Could it be overheating maybe?
