You should be running a virus, adware, and spyware scan regularly.

Google AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Adaware.

Well, I tried a scan with one of my scanners, CA, and it did the whole loop thing.  I'll try it with spybot now and see what happens.

No, i was just asking, because you can't rename a file to the name of a file thats already there. For example if I got a file called combofix and one called combofix[1], I can't rename combofix to combofix[1] because there's already one there.

I don't think that people understand what you're supposed to do when you 'run combofix'.

1) Reboot the computer and keep hitting F8 just before the "Windows XP" loading screen come up. You'll be presented with lots of options.
2) Select the one that says "Safe Mode with Networking" (to reduce the chance of the virus from loading up before you have a chance to run combofix)
3) Fire up your internet browser and go to google.com and do a search for combofix.
4) Download it, but save it to somewhere like your Desktop
5) Run Combofix
