I heard it on fox new break. They told us that there is a other stimulus again next year. They have been told that the paycheck will be 100,000 dollars for each american! :-o :-o :-o.That is more than 2 trillion dollars.Hey,ppl we're rich idiot!........or Is it a joke?

Angstromicus

I hope it's a joke. That'll surely cause hyper inflation.

Don't leave your wheelbarrows unattended.

That will cause hyper-inflation en masse, and you'll be forced to do what the Germans did, and bring in a new stable currency.

Do you remember seeing pictures of kids in history class using a whole bundle of notes to by bread?

I don't see why not...they've already forked out 2.5 trillion to the banks.

Well If people can't get rich from working, why not just make up a load of money and give it away?

Because It would be a really stupid idea.
Money only represents wealth, it is not wealth itself.
Redistribution (by sensible means) of existing wealth would be far more effective. Those already rich need to be persuaded to spend and invest their wealth in a patriotic way...like putting back the resources that grew the wealth in the first place.

If only, but all the plans are more communistic: Government knows what is best, government takes your monkey, government gives it to other ppl. PPL who work hard get the same as PPL who don't, PPL stop working since they get free money, 'bread makers' leave country for place where they are appreciated, economy expires en mass.

EDIT: Oh yes, and wheelbarrows become worth more than all the money they can hold in the highest bills do to hyper inflation.

QuoteIf only, but all the plans are more communistic:
But over here, in "socialist" UK, the so called plans, so far, are actually very capitalistic, and seem to have involved giving an awful lot of taxpayers money to the banks, who have then promptly sat on it.

What the US gov is doing is not actually communistic, the whole plan is to cause a slight devaluation of the dollar, which being the reserve currency held by many other nations, will hurt others more than the US, The relative value consequence will benefit the American economy slightly and US retailers of beer and fast food somewhat more as this is probably where most of cash will be spent  :-D
It will not do anything to alter the overall economy however, as this is actually a live system of resource-utilisation and feedback.
Tinkering with its representation (the currency) is actually futile.

I find it very worrying that we all seem to be led by people who don't understand this.

Red Devil

The other countries are going to stop using the dollar as the reserve currency soon.

I see that their management system are very poor and pay too much wage to workers compare to toytoa workers 38 per hours while big 3 workers get 45 per hours also cut down production line.I notice big 3 pumped out too much making cars.No one willing to buy it.

When those auto CEO's came to Washington, they came by their own private jets.  Everyone knows this already, bringing them shame and ridicule.  Then they came by car the next time, heh, to show they DO care!  Reminds me when Marie Antoinette and family was trying to escape France, they rode in an obviously luxurious horsey wagon because their rich blood took riding fancy for granted, rather than lay low escaping in a crap-looking buggy.  Hah, they were spotted.  Obviously Marie and company didn't have a 2nd chance. It may not be the best analogy, but when the first impression is bad (private jets), it's generally an ominous sign to heed, and I think Washington DC gave/giving them too much of a chance.  If I had a close friend/relative who worked in the American auto industry, maybe I'd think twice and maybe be more sympathetic, but I don't. I drive in my humble, but "superior quality" Honda.  And as aforementioned, the first "bailout" has already proved that it may not work the next time.  Yep, my tax dollars at work alright.
