I was thinking of after i learned modding a lot better i could try to make a new raced based on the Sorns from out of that silent planetby C.S. Lewis

Modelling, texturing and effects will likely be the biggest problems with that. I am intrigued to see the results if it ever happens.

Good luck. You have a lot of work ahead of you if you choose to do it.

The easiest way is to look at the stock odf files to figure out how they work.

Here are some ideas for the gun tower. It will actually be a pale off whitish color which will be the theme for this race but I did it in black and white for simplicity.
