Why is it when i play and i build something i might see four green squares, i build a building taking one square, then all the other building slots are unavailable. This is especially annoying when i play as isdf on lets use fortress for example there is a pool with about 4 open build spaces and i place a relay bunker there then i can't make a rocket tower because the green turned to red and it takes me about ten minutes to finaly de construct and re construct the bunker in the meantime the extractor is bombed several times and i end up wasting probabally two hundred scrap

Sometimes when a map is made, the base building area is not perfectly flat, but flat enough to place buildings.  If there is a slight bump in the terrain, and you build based off of that bump (inadvertently), the terrain in the surrounding squares rises to meet the building.  Thus, you cannot build on those tiles, since they are sloped.

yea sometimes the constructor morphs the terrain to build 1 building, and causes the surrounding area to become unbuildable. This only happens when there is a slope ish where you build.

Of course, I've had the opposite happen ^^
