I have played all of the missions up to Rumble in the Jungle, and in this mission when I start attacking the base my computer reboots.   Anyone else having this problem?  All the other missions up to this one do not crash.

Has this happened more than once?
Others would merely say it was good humour.

That doesnt sound right. Have you updated to latest graphic card drivers and what version/card do you have?

This happens more than once and consistently in the same part of the mission.  I have the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series Graphics card which I think is onboard the motherboard.  I know this isn't a very good graphics card, but the game does still seem to play reasonably well.

Post up the contents of BATTLEZONE.log (from the main bz2 directory) after one of these crashes has occured.

Mr X

hmm, my suggestion would be to try approaching the base from a different direction.

Which area did you attack the base from? Also if hardware is in order there is a memory cleaning program i use that might help with this issue.

These are more general suggestions, not battlezone related....

Was there a blue screen of death?
Is windows set to not auto-reboot on Blue screens?

Right click my computer icon > properties > advanced tab > under startup and recovery click settings > uncheck automatically restart

play the mission, cause it to crash, see if its a blue screen,  if it is, write down the code fully.  Go back and recheck automatically restart.

Are there any entries in event viewer?

Start > Run

Type eventvwr, hit enter

check the application, system, and any other sections for errors/warnings around the time the crash happened.

I'd recommend checking the video card driver versions first. 1.3ta5 has had problems with the video card drivers 'suggested' by Microsoft in their automatic updates, especially for the Geforce 2MX and 4MX series. If it's a desktop, I'd recommend going to the video card manufacturer's website and downloading the drivers they suggest for your card & OS. Then install it. Do the same for your audio card, if it's an addin card.

If you've got a laptop, go to the laptop maker's website instead and see if there's newer drivers for your system make/model.
