Can a mine deploy/use other weapons?

The chain mine for example uses a gun itself as the weapon, but can it be modified to use other weapons too? Is the odf modified like carrier types that deploy other units like drones? I know to modify the ordinance portion of the odf, so is it done the same way with changing the ordinance from a chain gun to any other weapon as well? Tanks, BNG.

You can have a mine shoot more mines, which themselves deploy recyclers with morphtank class that change into death stars if you have nothing better to do and plenty of time.

You could make mines that replicate until you crash like the "Spawn" in that years old never finished community mod.
