more technical trouble!

sorry i have to keep asking for help here guys but i am not that much of a techno whiz. okay my problem is that i downloaded FE with the single down load mechanisim but when i play,
A. when i try to play the campaign, a message comes up saying that the game is trying to connect to something and has failed to do it in a unusual way. then, when i press okay, it brings to a single box that says battlezone two surrounded by dashes, then, i am forced to hit quit and FE ends.
B. when i play instant action, it does not give me the list of maps or which race to play as.

i'd appreciate the help.

Do you use MM5?
Others would merely say it was good humour.

If I understand this correctly, you have tried to install FE using the 1.2 full installer.  You have to install that over the 1.2 patch.  It will not work in any of the 1.3 patches.  Use FE 1.3 for that.
I find that if I don't have a signature, some people disregard the last couple of lines of a long post.

I don't know if any archived versions of PB3 remain on any server for download. The FE13 requires PB3.

i'll check out mm5 but for the sake of the discussion i think it would be wise to know that i tries to download the single way with 1.2 but it wouldn't let me into the game.something about an error.

Now that you've downloaded it, install it as a seperate program (in other words to where it wants to go by default). Then open the program and read the help file in the help section on how to set it up for your different installs.

i have looked through the help file and done what it says to do but it dosen't show FE. I had it save changes to bz2 but im still having the problem.   ideas?

Ok, if you have set up Mod Manager 5 for your 1.2 install and don't see FE listed then it's possible that you installed FE to the wrong place. Why don't you get on the Windows Live Messenger and talk to me there.

no need, i changed some things around and got it to work....and i'm so happy[doing the neutron daaance!]
i will post something here if it goes wrong.
