This was never vetted for PB5.1 so it never made it in, but it is rather useful.

Simply save one of these files into your Battlezone II\addon\ folder as "bzgame_team.cfg" .
Default
Optional alternate for 1024x768
Optional alternate for 1280x1024

This adds the Ammo, Hull, and Name of the human player under their icon.

I hear some people have BZ2 automaticly load the alternate CFGs for larger screen sizes, my bz2 does not. In that case, be sure to pack up the stock extra size cfgs in addon/config/game since they will get duplicate assets if you add the alternate resolution ones.

In the end I think Commando, Greenheart, GeneralBlackDragon, TheJamsh, and I all did SOMETHING on it.

You will need to download all three in case you change resolution. Someone keeps forgetting that there are bzgame_team.cfg's in addon with extra resolutions there, which is why i made the extra two in the first place.

BZ2 automatically chooses the resolution version for youre screen if it exists, so if you run in either of those extra resolutions or plan to, get them.

NO!
WRONG!
I TOLD YOU THIS!

I talked to GSH. Those are there for ppl to rename them without the extension if they want to use them!
Why else would they be in addon instead of patch13.pak?

still, for the people who don't know about those cfgs in addon/config/game

if you're going to use the higher resolution versions you have to get rid of those cfgs (rename to .bak for instance) or they will override the modified bzgame_team.cfg

dunno why they're in addon but bz DOES seem to use bzgame_team_1024x768.cfg unless i change it to .bak

will this cause asset error if other players don't have it or is it client sided

That's a no, it works fine if someone else doesn't have it in multi

GSH told me that BZ2 does not read bzgame_team_####x###.cfg

dunno, maybe he was thinking of a different beta. I just tried it with a unique distinction (moved the TeamPanel down 45 pixels) in bzgame_team_1024x768.cfg and it did in fact use that file.

OK, we will have to sort that out then. Both for these and Jamsh and I for the AP. I had to revert a bunch of his changes for various reasons and the screen resolutions bit got caught up in that (addon pack stuff).

EDIT:
WAIT A SEC!
I run 1024x768 and it uses bzgame_team.cfg

Mine never did  I run in 1024x768, and when i installed bzgame_team.cfg it didn't work for me, i just got the standard one, when i copied the 1024x768 ones in as well, it worked.

You can see the same thing happen with the new 'escape' screens that i added to PB5.1, you DONT need to rename anything, but all the buttons accross the top are now equally spaced out if you run in one of those resolutions, and i didnt change the original one.

- Fixed (I think) the game resolution-dependent cfgs. Resolution is
read from current profile instead. [NM]

- Strat, MPI map INF updates, daywrecker model is 1.3 variant again,
from Commando. Reverted bzgame_stats.cfg as it doesn't work at the
default of 640x480 mode (I run windowed so that the debugger works
well). Resolution-specific variants of that cfg might be added, but
the default one needs to work at 640x480. [NM]

- Fix for mantis #573 - made sure all root .cfgs used by game are
check for resolution-modifying names. This includes a bunch of editor
cfgs. [NM]

- Updated bzgame_base.cfg, bzgame_command.cfg, and bzgame_group.cfg to
use ConfigureInterface() DefineControlType(), eliminating vast swaths
of replicated control configuration and drastically shrinking those
files and cleanly separating presentation from structure.  The perl
scripts that build them are no longer necessary, and creating versions
for different resolutions should be much easier.  [Ken]

- Made various cfg files more resolution-independent. Basically, for a
file like "bzshell.cfg", it'll look first for a file
"bzshell_640x480.cfg" first, and if that's present, use it. The 640,
480 are based on the current resolutions. As there's a lot of
resolutions, there'll be a lot of duplications. Sorry. The files
affected by this change are: "bzshell.cfg", "bzshell_editor.cfg",
"bzgame_base.cfg", "bzgame_command.cfg", "bzgame_factory.cfg",
"bzgame_group.cfg", "bzgame_moves.cfg", "bzgame_satellite.cfg",
"bzgame_scrap.cfg", "bzgame_weapon.cfg", "bzgame_team.cfg",
"bzgame_init.cfg", "bzgame_keys.cfg", "bzgame_stats.cfg" Mostly
untested, but should work. [NM]

TheJamsh

- When running in windowed mode, it'll use render.cfg's ShellWidth/
ShellHeight when looking for expanded game UI files, e.g.
bzgame_team_640x480.cfg vs bzgame_team_1920x1200.cfg (assuming that
your ingame profile was set to the latter). [NM]
