Battlezone 2 / Battlezone 2 & Ram Drive

Well I only have 2 Gig's of ram and tried to hooked bz2 to install on a ram drive to see what would happen,
However 2 gigs was not enough. I was curious if anyone else tried this?
For those who don't know a ram drive turns part of your ram into a hard drive in my computer. Thust making milliseconds into nanoseconds which i would think could make bz2 lightening fast.
Anyways has anyone tried this?
Secondly is there any way to see how fast bz2 is running aside from relying of the FPS(Frames Per Second)?

Lately i've been clicking on chat in bz2 but haven't been able to log in.
Am I the only one experienceing this? it could be because someone registered my nick name on the irc which is of no concern to me but, just wondering if chat is down

When telling sabres to attack a unit they are trying to form a very large circle around that unit
in order to attack it, this is something that other units are not trying to do like lancers scouts or sentries......
This is creating a problem is strategy matches because the sabres are all too busy trying to get into position instead of firing.
I don't believe this was an issue with any pubic beta earlier than 4.
You may see this effect by ordering a group of sabres to attack an extractor if there is enough room for the sabres to form thier circle than you may see it..... if there is not enough room it appears the sabres are just spinning around and missing thier target which causes alot of player frusteration.

I am wondering if this was suppose to be the fix for the assault tanks trying to hump the tower instead of shooting it out of range but mistakenly it was directed at the sabres or not.....

I would like to add bz1 and Red Oddyssey's music to my game and i remember it mentioned somewhere that it's possible now in the latest patch....
Just i can't find where to read about doing that.....i've heard about some ogg file. Anyone willing to help :?

1.3 Public Beta 5: Tech Alpha 5 / Sabre problems

is it me in 1.3 games the sabres are more retarded in combat than scavagers?
I am noticing they are driving to far past thier target and when u tell them to attack a target they drive left right and like 2 sabres in the group attack where as the sabres the others are too busy driving around doing nothing but taking shots.
am i the only one who see's this

I haven't found many
in multiplayer strate when someone tries to go into relay bunker the game
seems to jam for a bit
i don't use it often so almost missed it, never tried in the antenna.....
i am not the only player who is having this problem a few already reported the same thing
but just didn't report it officially.

Public 1.3 Beta 4 Archive / BZ BUG (pb4a)

This is actually becomming known as the bz bug.
Ussually it happens in strate when 4 players come in a game than all the sudden it lags right out u see time delay 4 seconds time delay 8 seconds time delay 12 seconds
game over
even the host loses his own connection to the game and get's forced out.
Hard to even finish a strate game......let alone an mpi

Public 1.3 Beta 4 Archive / Flags!

Well someone had to ask!  :evil:
Love the new Public Beta 4.
I think the Msl scout should get raised to 50 scrap for a moded ship instead of 45 though.
Anyways is it possible we could have custom flags in the game like it was in bz1? even if it's on certain ships like tanks & scouts.
I liked how they did that in bz1 and was a really cool feature.
(Also nav beacons instead of nav points was really cool too but that's just fantasising lol, in bz1 you were able to send ships to nav beacons i wonder why that was changed in bz2, I used the beacons alot in bz1 strate to watch for enemy ships leaving the enemy base)
