It appears that voting has homogeneously stabilized for the first round.

Clavin's, BBB's, and Fall of Empires have been removed from the lineup.

The rest stay around for further discussion.
Mr X's Time story
AHadley's Perfidious story
General_Hoohah's FE Sequel
ScrapPool's Full Circle story

NOTE: I'm not saying that you CAN'T discuss any of the other stories. If you find some good ideas to use or even ideas that shouldn't be used, to make a point, then by all means...

This topic and what ever is discussed in it should be used as a means of determining the general disposition of the community. Note that only one story can be the plot for the 1.3 CP. It's possible that this story may not be any of the ones selected so far - but a combination of them or plot ideas related to them.

If a story falls out of the community's favoring, it'll be removed. If an idea for combining the stories is suggested, it'll be added to the poll options.

I'll go ahead and summarize what's been said so far:

Some users appear to be "torn" between Mr. X's and Ahadley's story, so the actual number of users who would like to see either of the two stories is probably higher.

Time travel and how to make it work well is a main discourse here. Although public opinion appears to support using time travel as a story device quite positively. Mr. X's and Scrap Pool's stories rely on time travel for the story but do it in different ways. It is also possible that users are torn between Mr. X's and Scrap Pool's stories, so the actual number of users favoring both stories may be higher.

General Hoohah's story appears to have received some interest, although it isn't as widely accepted as the other stories. I am unsure as to whether there should be any bias to the votes for this story.

Users are also suggesting combining the stories (namely Mr X's, AHadley's, and Scrap Pool's stories).

If Gen_Hoohah's FE Sequel does not receive more attention, it may be dropped from the line-up!
If you want the story to stay in, please say so. It would do better for you to present a case as well.
Otherwise, please nominate for the story to be dropped.

The deadline for story submission is in 2 weeks. Story submissions need not be fleshed out or detailed, we just need concrete stories.

We have 7 stories so far - a nice start and it's hardly been two weeks since the 1.3 CP's grand opening. It should soon be time to move on to the next stage of story development, where a select few, well-developed stories will be candidates for the 1.3 CP. There can be only one possible storyline - even if it means merging two or more into one.

For those who haven't signed up yet, please join in at least by the storyline submission deadline. Your opinion is vital for choosing a storyline for the 1.3 CP. Remember, this is YOUR mod  :-).

If you would like to invite people from other forums to participate in the 1.3CP board, you need to vouch for them in the VOUCHING TOPIC.
NOTE: Be absolutely sure that the vouchee is registering on BZU with the same name as you mention for vouching. Otherwise said vouchee may be mistakenly rejected.
NOTE 2: After being accepted, the vouchee has to click on the account activation link sent to his/her email inbox.

You can now create polls! Instead of clicking "Create new Topic", click "Create new poll."

So, fellow community members, what would do want your mod to be like?

Big? Lots of missions? A sequel to Forgotten Enemies or another mod? Perhaps a completely different mod from the rest? I'm just giving a few suggestions here, free your mind on what you want!

You can think of this topic as a guestbook. Though, I recommend putting suggestions as topics in the main board so your ideas can be fleshed out more. Cheers!

About halfway into today, I remembered that valetines day was tomorrow, which was February 14th. Immediately, I realized that meant today was Friday the 13th. I was a little bit supersticous. But that's nonsense, or so I thought...

I just saw on the news: Congress passes 800 billion dollar stimulus without even reading it. When does something this big get passed without review? Heh, the times must be worse than I thought.

But I also remembered reading some conspiracy theories about how Obama plans to turn the United States government into a socialist one, and one of the ways he was going to do it was to blitscreg past the checks and balances of Congress. So, Obama has taken 800 billion dollars in tax payer money just like that. Sure sounds like a communist thing to do.

Just go to google and search for anything. Click on any link, and you'll probably get a Malware Warning page (it does this for every site, even google.com).

I don't know if this is some sort of test, but I'm sure people may start changing default search providers soon.

Sample page:
=============================================================
Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!
Suggestions:

    * Return to the previous page and pick another result.
    * Try another search to find what you're looking for.

Or you can continue to http://www.google.com/ at your own risk. For detailed information about the problems we found, visit Google's Safe Browsing diagnostic page for this site.

For more information about how to protect yourself from harmful software online, you can visit StopBadware.org.

If you are the owner of this web site, you can request a review of your site using Google's Webmaster Tools. More information about the review process is available in Google's Webmaster Help Center.

Edit: It's fixed now.
Edit: Now it's back (I give up, lol).

This topic is focusing on custom mod assets, rather than stock BZII assets, so it'd be better placed in Maps and Mods.

One of the reasons why jaw muscles are so strong is that the jaw is a relatively short lever for muscles to pivot. But, for example, the biceps have a much longer lever to work with, so they have to do more work to lift the same amount of weight.

For, say, an arm that's about 1/2 of a meter long (about 1.5 feet), and the person curled a ten kilogram weight. How much weight would the bicep actually be pulling - a hundred kilograms perhaps? More? Less?

Here's a quick test for everyone to see if your monitor is a true 8 bit per color channel (16.7 million colors) or a 6 bit per color channel monitor (262,144 colors) that probably uses dithering to fake 8 bit color.

8 bit color: Faint dark spots over a gray background.

6 bit color: Pitch black image.

Edit: sorry about no thumbnails, photobucket has changed since i used them and i can't find the thumbnail option :(.

A fairly useless site, but there's been a few specific questions answered there that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Using firefox as an example:

   1. Go to Tools>Options(on windows) or File>Preferences(on mac)
   2. Now go to the privacy tab and click Show Cookies
   3. Find "Experts-Exchange.com" (do not use search) click it once and click Remove Cookies and you can close that window
   4. Now click Exceptions which is right above the Show Cookies button type experts-exchange.com and click block.
   5. Now you can close everything and when you refresh your answers will be at the very bottem of the page(you will still the jibberish you had saw before you signed up but the answers are below that)

Unfortunately, this is just for one year. The greedy bastards at compete.com want you to pay money for more than a year's worth of data. But interesting nonetheless.
