My labor of the last 6 months or so hit the iPhone App Store yesterday, and immediately took it's rightful place as the #1 selling RPG.  Reviews have been very positive, and I'm just afloat on a sea of bliss, having realized a dream I've had for decades:  I'm a real-live game developer now!

I know none of you has iphones or ipods, but I'm going to subject you to my latest project anyway.  We submitted screenshots to toucharcade.com (they're a major iphone game site) this morning, and they put it up there on the front page, where things like wolfenstein usually are.  We also got over 100 responses on the threads about it, just today, and a couple thousand thread views.  The response has been overwhelmingly postive.

I'm so excited I can hardly keep from wetting my pants and have been prone to fits of tugging on my ears and screaming like a schoolgirl all day, when I should be coding.

Battlezone 2 / Gamespy API

I have been making some progress with network play in my new game.  It works really nice on the LAN, but I need some help to test it for internet play.

I was thinking of making a little deathmatch game that people could play while waiting to join a BZ multiplayer game.  For this to work, I need to get the BZII info from GameSpy so people can keep an eye on what games are available.

Does anyone know if there is an API I can use, or where I can find documentation of the message protocol?

Actually, what stirs up the dust is the static cling of the pilot's polyester pants.  Fabric softener and biometal cannot exist in the same universe.

Maps and Modding / Convert XSI into?

I am trying to import Lizard's Flesh Storm models into Unity, but it can't handle that format. it does import the following:


Maya .mb & .ma               
Cheetah 3D .jas                  
Blender .blend            
3D Studio .3ds   
Wavefront .obj   
Drawing Interchange
Files .dxf   
Filmbox .fbx            
Collada .dae            

Does anyone know of something that will get these XSI into one of those formats?
