Hey there! I was just wondering if anybody here has helped the BZ2 community grow any? You know, telling friends and getting them into it. I have, me and my friend play online everyday! Not like you've seen us but he goes by Dilan8. Anyway...So who here has gotten anyone into playing?  :-D

Battlezone 2 / What in the world is this dang thing?

Okay, I don't know if any of you guys have ever noticed, but what I am asking about is seen in 2 places as far as I know...Now, in the Battlezone II intro where the dude gets out of the tank, and tells the other guys to go on a recon sweep, they stop in front of something that appears to be a scavenger but it has a long wheeled part on the back and has black bars on it and 3 or 4 red lights and the one dude says, "What are those things?" And the other dudes like, "I dunno they're everywhere!". Now, if you have the CD case, not the box the CD CASE, in the top photo on the back you will see what looks much like a scavenger that appears to be scooping up something. Also on the CD case, on the inside where you see the phone numbers and stuff, look on the left hand side of the image and you will see another one of the strange things right under the APC. I don't really know what the heck these things are, but I would appreciate it if someone gave me an answer. :-D

Uninstalled it completely
Copied a fresh install
Installed Fleshstorm
Patched it with 1.3 pb4a
Added Commandos FS patch for 1.3pb4a
Then installed the 1.2 update over it

It wasn't too hard.... :mrgreen:

You know.. sometimes the enemy recycler doesn't deploy, so what you should do, is at the start maybe, is put in game.cheat bzradar so you can see if the recycler deploys or not. You should be able to tell where the recycler is.

When you put the CD in your computer, it should bring up a menu of what you want to do with it, if so, just click play audio and rip the music. Or you could try going to "My Computer" when the CD is in, and click on the BZII icon (it should be where it has like your hardrive listed and stuff) and it should bring up a menu then.

Probably so people don't join and get pissed of when they get kicked be cause of bad assets. Then they troll back in, "WTF Y DID U KICK MEE!!!" Or some other incoherent rambling. It would certainly get annoying.

- Since 1.3 was built up for modders, many players have their own personal tweaks that they throw in for fun.
- Some people just like to play with close friends.
- Some people (though I do NOT condone it) like to make a multiplayer game, lock it, and play by themselves. One example (sorry if this sounds like a flame, but its a warning), one player by the name of "Yeah" likes to host/join games, hide in the recycler, and go AFK for SIX HOURS STRAIGHT! The funny thing is, I almost ALWAYS see him...well, his account... on, and when he finally joined my server and did NOT leave the computer, actually playing the damn game, he got in a scavenger I asked him to deploy on a pool and drove around uselessly (not even picking up any of the frikkin loose) for the majority of the match until I got fed up and booted him. Not only this guy, but I have come across idiots who like to do as they please in games, even if it means ruining the experience for everyone else (IE, shooting friendlies on purpose, sniping my vehicles instead of just asking for his/her own, wasting vehicles by rushing, etc).

I know that dude, I have joined a few of his games before and he doesn't do a damn thing. It pisses me off. I also hate when people are like, "I'm bored" or something, and they will start shooting you and stuff and it gets annoying.

And I don't get why people lock the game in multiplayer and play by themselves.
