I am looking to see if anyone is around to play a stock strat tomorrow ( 9-9-08) at 9:30 est. I am looking for even teams. Reply back if you want to join.

I played a human v human strat where we were using the GH varient with the rocket towers and everything else. Since it is not available in human v human strats normally, how was someone able to do this? I actually would like to try more human v human GH games. . .

Over all the balance of 1.3 is awesome. The only thing I have noticed and would like to understand the reason for, has to do with the defensive structures/units. Again I am not trying to open balance issues with anything but these two aspects, because I think the balance is very good overall.

1) It seems that turrets for both scion and isdf rotate way too slowly to be as effective as they should be.

2) The spire's "spray" reduces its effectiveness on a single unit. This combined with the extremely slow firing rate, causes much less damage because most of the bolts hit the ground and are too slow to cause the damage that it used too. In addition, the spires rotate a little too slowly also. I suggest either increasing the firing rate slightly or reducing the spray of the spires. As a basis for balance, one assault tank with plasma in range of the spire, should not out live the spire. Just as one titan should not outlive a GT.

One question also. I was under the assumption that stasis shield does reduced damage against particle and energy weapons, somewhat less than the deflect and abs does alone. However, I am told by a player that stasis actually does worse against chain, than absorption does against chain. Is this correct? Maybe an updated chart of the damage and such would be helpful. Thanks!

Can someone post a list of new commands instituted in pb4? I can't seem to find any post with them on it. As examples, I am referring to ones like the screenshot command and weapon linking. Thanks!

1. My account has been waiting admin approval on the FS boards on bz2md for months.

2. I tried to play FS 1.2 with pb3 and got this error whenever try to start a FSMPI playing the rahn against the mechana(ai)

What  I do see of the map is that all the ground is grey, all the sky is grey, then the game quits and I get this message.

I installed afreshinstall over the previous install of fleshstorm. THen I copied the 1.2 patch files into that directory. Any advice on how to make this work?

I just wanted to remention the scion armory bug I had. If you want me to repost I will, or I can direct you to it. I originally posted it in the bugs thread.

Also I would like to know if it was able to be fixed! With that bug and besides for the visual lag, I have not seen other bugs!

Believe me, I HATE to say this. . . .but pb2 is unplayable in strat.

Its like the game is under a constant resync. They look like they are blinking everywhere. The targeting reticules are not in sync with where you see the ship, and the hit box is not in sync with where you see the ship. Its like everything is out of sync with each other.

I host a few games on mwf 2 and I could not even predict where the ship was like you can in 1.2, its just randomly somewhere in the area. Its like 1.1 again.

I am not sure what happend between pb1 and pb2 but the lag/warp/sync/ or whatever issue it is, is worse to the point of unplayabilty. Even when I host and MPI I have trouble finding where the hit boxes are in teh ships.

I really want to play 1.3, and I enjoyed the pb1 patch, but I will not and cannot play with the pb2 patch until that syncing issue its fixed. I feel really bad, because I know how long and hard people have worked on it. I am sure they just want it to be done and over with. . .

In a post I heard that the private builds did not have this trouble. Maybe we got the wrong build?  Maybe I installed the patch wrong. . . I don't know. Any help would be appreciated if it is on my end, but I doubt it because others are having this trouble too.

I discovered last night that 2 people on the same network cannot enter the same public game.
In 1.2 I know that if you both press join game at the EXACT time that both could join and there would be no problems.

However in 1.3, both can JOIN the game, but both cannot ENTER the game, apparently both will lag out of the game before it even starts.

Is there anyway to change it back to 1.2 style network so that both will be able to enter the game? Otherwise, 1.3 will be short lived among family and friends.

After being on the other end of the bomber I have some suggestions. The bomber is almost impossible to shoot down because :

Flys too high
Flys too fast
Seems to ZOOM down a hill so it actually speeds up
Bomb explodes on Spires before it hits the ground, so you cannot shoot it down.

Scions have no defense against the bomber anymore, even less than in 1.2. Poppers do not have enough strength to shoot them down. Arc has NO power left in it, even against tanks.
Gauss has no power as well.

Also the stock tank is much stronger and carries more firepower than the stock warrior. The AT stabbers are do much more damage than the plasma.


If anyone is working on 1.3 please take these seriously and test them. They are very large problems when playin scions.

Apparently you can still wobble kill and hover kill turrets in 1.3. The turrets do not have a higher arc or will not use the higher arc. The gun towers will not shoot at enemy ships until the person has wobble killed it or hover killed it.

The scav issue that I had posted about before is a major problem in games.

Some please respond about the scav issue and let me know that a dev is on it.

Check the arcs again, this guy I was playing against was hovering above the turret and the turret was looking at the ground, I told the turret to hold and it did nothing.

I would just like to thank all who were involved with the 1.3 patch. Especially those from Pandi who put all this time into something that they were not really compensated for. I really appreciate it, as I am sure others do.
1.3 is an excellent "completion" to a very unique game. I really do enjoy it, though I am still learning all the details about it.

And one more thing, if I post issues that I have with the 1.3beta its not that I am trying to be malicious, but just that I would like to help to find some of the smalller issues that might have been missed.

Thank you again! It is really cool to play bz2 again, and be surprised when things actually go the you don't expect them too. Haha! Its like playing it for the first time. . .well not quite the first, but pretty close to it.  :-D

I know that most people do drive scavs around, but when they fall into holes and cannot get out you just have too. Well one fell into a hole on bigmoon, and I got in to get it out. I drove to a pool and press c. the scav just stopped dead in its tracks. I could not hop out or bail, when someone killed the scav, it just stayed there and did not even blow up. I typed /leave. and got back in.

For some reason in 1.3 when in FFA the bases are not destroyed when a player leaves, so I looked at the scav and it was green/grayed out, but the model was still there and the pool was dead. aougli suggested I post it. Let me know if you have questions.

I was playing MPI the other day in 1.3 and I tried to set down my service bay, but it does not seem to rotate with the ship like it did in 1.2. So how do I rotate the buildings in 1.3????
