this is a cons satalight it can build any were in a flash and has a cool build effect.
this is just the first pic I will put more up later and some more units and things.
I need some feed back on this stuff or I will not release it don't start stiling ideas
I will give some assets away but I here by Patten all concepts listed.

To elaborate a bit, exactly what does this modification do? You didn't explain or anything about what it does, what it changes, etc... so I'm a bit confused as to what it does.

ok first I made a constror with all fechers for bouth forces + they build factory units then I made them into satalights so they can build any were in the map fast and almost unstopable
I did make unit to kill this builder just to balence the game.
I came up with this based fo the armory building sending you thing you ordered so I made a unit that build it were ordered insted of thoughing it there.

that last one is the after math of a nuke I made the new land form last the rest of the game it happend in. I still got some blancing to do on it.

It's certainly an interesting idea.  And trust me when I say that you're not the first one to think of it.

My problem with you is that sometimes it's difficult to understand what you say, which can easily be fixed if you use English in the way in which it was intended.

Thats neat. Its always a good thing when someone does something new and innovative and actually shows or releases their work.

Of course an unstoppable con could just demolish the enemy recy and that's game (The CM1 rec variant is awesome for rec demofests)

I made units to defen bases and kill the builders. note: the cons cost 200 scrap each.

So I take it that players will start with the cons?

If that's the case, how will they stop other players from demolishing the base at the start of the game?  Since they wouldn't have the scrap to be able to afford the necessary defense?

one more thing becouse of how high the con is it is out of radar range so it can not be used as a scout but It can build them.
it thair it a jamer up it can demalish anything so I made a isdf jammer as a back up.

it don't work that way yet didn't do that becouse one unit can't build everthing and AIP is all ways a mess when trying.
you see that has far to meny problems and is just a bit of a cheep way to do this.

so I did it my way you build it as a upgraded unit.

like the DEF.builder forme SRV.

the prime DEF is a unit I maked that gose into orbit over you base and kills the other teams builder/s

I just thought of a suitable defense against having a satcon rec an enemy recycler. Simply give the satcon a non-standard armor class, and then have a mine tapped to certain buildings such as commbunkers, extractors, and the recycler which emits a field that only does damage to the non-standard armor that the satcon is using. In other words, if it gets near those buildings and tries to demo them, then it will be destroyed.

that is one way to do it but not the way I did I made a radar turent that sits a the same hight as the cons and has a one hit kill weapon it would kill a base in under a min but is so high in the air it can't see the units on the ground the only target it gets is the con flying level with it i set it range to acount fore a good sized base.
it works and unlike the taps it can be moved were need and dosn't take up space in the base like a building would.

That line wont work until you add another " to the end.

To me (although i too am finding it a bit difficult to understand whats going on), it looks like what you've done is made a hover constructor, and set its altitude to something insane so it appears to be coming from space...

This is going to cause problems eventually.

You realise that you could have faked that build effect with a draw_bolt? so there would be no need to have the constructor so high in the sky. You can then remove the beam from the constructor, and hey presto, it looks like a constructor is sending orders to something high in the sky, without the need to actually have one there.

In one of my races from serenesis, they have a similar idea, whereby the majority of their units and buildings are sent down from space. But in there system, everything is sent down in 'pods', which crash into the surface of a planet and leave the unit behind. DLL needs to be used for this of course. Once they are down, they can re-locate in a manner similar to the Phaer Rahn, but will be able to undeploy themselves at your command with additional DLL help.

I would half to re right and test all the files just to get it to look the same and not work the same.

at the speeds that I set con it wont stay on the map if it was faked Its not a hover class is aircraft class used the[ pathType = 4 ]tag and aircraft phys.
no normal con can move at 300 without hiting some thing and flying out of control.

VSMIT is a global moderator. Thus you WILL listen to him whether you like it or not.

You have proven that you can type in a faintly recognisable form of English. Unlike what you are now typing in, it was at least legible. So, please try to type in a language with some semblance of legibility.

Also, a shot of the constructor itself would be good. I suspect at the moment that it is simply a constructor that walks about suspended a few kilometres in the air.

This is something I've been working on too, but I never got the CONS to move fast enough and stop fast enough, it would always undershoot or overshoot the target.

Place the cons in a Base Slot to make it seem more... normal.

yes this is one of two ways to fix that overshoot/undershooting Glich the other is one I could use to fake it with and subterrain CONs
but I have yet to get that to work right but I can't say I have not made some progres.
if I place the cons in a Base Slot It would kind of interfer with having more than one one oposing teams. having 3 lets you bulid remote DEFs or upgrade pools faster also I have one miner glich do to the idle behaver of the cons rig class thay retreat back to there base when done building. yes I allreddy know how to fix this just have not yet. I thank all of you who posted plese feel free to post any questions or requests here.
right now I do not have a working FTP server so I will haft to email asets to any one that asks fore them.

one thing I need to do befor this relese is to change the AIPs name or make me one for the RV to work right in multi.

Frankly, I don't like it.  It sounds like it's not easy to beat, and even if there is a unit built to counter it, is that unit any good against anything else?  With RTS, it's generally not a good idea to have only one counter to a super unit.  In fact, it's generally not a good to have a super unit at all.

If you could work out a more effective counter, though... like making everything built by the constructor cost extra, or giving the constructor a range (a significant size, but still a range).  The constructor itself would also have to cost a lot and not be available until a significant amoutn of construction can be completed.  Perhaps you could also create a jammer unit or structure that can nullify the constructors ability within a cirtain range (though I'm guessing that would require hardcoding).

VSMIT has a point, it is very difficult to read what you say.  There's no sense in being imature and purposely scrambling what you say just to annoy him.  A little respect would be nice.

Also give the constructor a scrap allowance, say 1 scrap per second.
And as a counter you can make ground based missile launchers that have enough range to take it out.

Making units to take it out is good, but you would need more than that to even the playing field.


I'd imagine we could have some fun with this... you could use this in the capital ship battles, as fighters are common, Just something to think about.

Perhaps you could have it so that when it fly's over an enemy base, you can see everything that is going on without having to send a scout near the base and use a comm bunker or such.

If you ask me a flying constructor that travels anywhere instantly is a broken unit,

You can just build gun towers/spires (spires especially) anywhere and the other player wont be able to stop you. My recommendation would be to put this in a recycler variant with flyers that can shoot it down, and decrease the speed so that they have a chance. And if possible make it take longer to build stuff.

It does not fit with the projected story and races. At best it would fit in Serenesis but they have a complex enough system.

I never said that it couldn't be made to work well, only that as is there are some serious balance issues that need addressing.

The moving anywhere instantly definately needs to go in my opinion. Otherwise people will just be building guntowers left right and centre and rendering regular units useless.

yes I did. Did you think I would try to show a pic of the crome effect when I like the beam better I made a custom colored one for scion gave bouth units a random model any will work as long as it has a special hard point for the beam effect. the scion one is Green.
the EDF's is off whight right now was thinking of Blue but its ok right now.I think if I had the texture list for the cromes I could make a cool mix of the two effects like a crome warp.

I'm sorry, we're done with twisting the story to fit in stuff that some people think could be cool. We've had enough problems with that already.
