Just for a basic category tree, layout for games, and layout for mods, in a naming sense.
Questions? Comments? Arguments? Desire to call me an idiot?
...
No, wait, that last one is probably a flame, and belongs in a different forum. Unless it is an attempt at being constructive here, anyway.
Proposed Category tree:
Battlezone I
Battlezone II
Modding
Mods
-BZ1 Mods
-BZ2 Mods
--1.2 Mods
--1.3 Mods
Patches
Utilities
Tutorials
Proposed tree for game pages (BZ1, BZ2), based on subpages (Game/subpage):
/Storyline
/<race>
/<race>/Units
/<race>/Units/<unit> - If this level of detail is desired
/Patches (Updates?)
/Patches/<patch> - To provide more details about the patch, if desired
Proposed Tree for mod pages, based on subpages (modname/subpage):
(only for mods where there is enough information to make subpages)
/<race> - 1 for each race, including stock races for history/changes
/<race>/Units
/<race>/Units/<unit> - If this level of detail is desired
/Storyline
/Missions - If applicable
/Missions/<mission name> - If desired
/Features - Things the mod provides that are not provided by stock game?
Well, that looks like it covers almost everything...
No, it doesn't.
How do we name specific pages? Is BZ1 marked as BZ, BZ1, Battlezone, Battlezone I, Battlezone 1, etc? Is BZ2 marked as BZ2, Battlezone II, Battlezone 2, etc?
How do we list utilities? Do we need more info for utilities?
What templates do we want/need? One per mod to cover the mod-specific things?
Etc. and so forth.
As far as layout, I meant...
Battlezone 1 and Battlezone 2 would help avoid confusion and would probably be the best titles, for feedback on one of the things on the list.
i think there is extra pages that r not needed at the start if a wiki works the way i think it does
mabye something like this
Battlezone I:
-story line
-bla bla bla
-units
-razor
-ect...
-mods
-mod list
-ect...
Battlezone II:
-story line
-bla bla bla
-units
-sabre
-ect...
-mods
-mod list
-ect...
Links:

-ect...
things just seem easier to navagate with less options at the start for me, idk about any1 else
Yah, simple tree building is good, but over do it and things get lost in there somewhere
Hmm. I say list utilities based on their use. Modding utilities can go into one area, and sub catagorized into different types of modding. Modeling, skins, odfs, sounds, dlls, etc.
Might be best to have a main tree page, then a sub tree page, then a sub sub tree page, and so on, but just import the lower pages using templates so the higher pages have all the sub(sub(sub(etc...))) page content, thus people can still link to specific section if they so wish, while the main section will have everything.

Generated by OvermindDL1's Signature Auto-Add Script (http://overminddl1.com) that OvermindDL1 did manually since Greasemonkey does not work in Firefox 3.1 yet...
the old official battlezone II site (and battlzone I i presume) had a nice tree that seemed to work well.

You mean at Pandemic? Or PBZ?

I agree with the BZ1 moniker. Helps to keep it separate from the original classic.
i think it was PBZ...
