ah tx,  there was 1 update the the Nvidia driver,   problem still persist though :/ (time for a new PC :P)

Maps and Modding / BZ2 Mission Mod?

heard some peopel talk abotu a "mission mod..." 

any chance there is a mod that works with the campaign of BZ?  cuase im getting lotsa issues in 1.3 TA... :/

when playing BZ2 i often get this error,  the game just stalls ingame for about 30 seconds then crashes and gives the error

using Tech Alpha 1.3.5
OS: Windows XP
Athlon X2 3800+ 2.01 GHz
Nvidia Geforce 7950 GT

i understand that the patch currently is only an ALPHA  so i'm not asking for it to be fixed,  just noting that im getting errors ^.^
the peak use being at 119MB catches my attention

p.s.  whats with this forum,   i cant even scroll down and select stuf f 2 seewhat i'm typing as it just jumps back to the top  :-o :?

thx for all the replies :D

getting the 3rd pool up north is gonig to be an issue since theres a SPIRE defending it... mortar might help.. but  i doubt it'll outrange it

i usualy have 2 guntowers up at the 2e pool before braddocks starts talking, i DID however completly forget about turrets  saving all my money on the guntower and hualer...  i'll try n work with turrets some more, as i dont remeber the maulers showing up when i had no structures build

also not 2 forget that this is the mission where u get to "pick" your side...  (it actualy took me 2 years to figure out i COULD make a choice... by giving the tug to shabajev)  its not a big event,  but for anyone who has not found it yet, they did miss one very cool trigger :)

i guess im still not wquite rdy for this...


on mission 14  (where u have to " rescue.." the scion leader)  whatever i try  as soon as i setup 1/2 turrets and/or 1 guntower  the site where the scion leader is get's swarmed  with hovertanks of all kinds,  and 2 maulers


decimating my force of 1 scout 2 sabres (1 of them me being the pilot), 2 turrets and 1 guntower in les then 20 seconds....


i need some help here cuase i cant figure out howto do this one...


my buildorder or. playing on this map

deploy recyc/ build 3 scavengers,  deploy 2  scavenge 1/   build constructor / build power / build relay @ front pool / build 2 guntowers @
front pool
build tug /  build power /  order sabre + scout + tug w/ constructor to the crash site / scavenger is done with scavenging by now, so i recycle him/

build 2 turrets and send them to the crash site / drop contstructor near crash site and build a relay + guntower (also killing the tug b4 that) / deploying turrets   
mere moments after that the whole squad of scion vehicles arrives and decimates me, and everything around it.   picking up the scion leader shortly after   and losing me the game...   any idea's  ;D?

i was never that good with internet stuff,  no idea how 2 checkup their i.p's and even if i did  i dont think i'd ban em.... just be more carewfull next time they ask me stuff like that... if i can remember


well  found another game thought to be lucky .. instead ended up getting flamed @ for LOSING  (im so sorry you beat me)


i've owned this game since i was 9 or so (8 years)   but im pretty new 2 the online community here,   so far im not getting a good impression of the people playing this....      or maybe im just unlucky :|

just now this Hellmen guy persuades me 2 quit one of my hosts, so he can host a "better" one

after jsut 5 min of playing one of his "friends" wants 2 get in and i tell him that's just not possible becuase its already fill (4/4 players)

i get kicked straight away so his friend can go in,




this just get's me "slightly" frustrated,  :x   i just quit my game intending for a rego, and now apparently he takes over and throws me out

sure wish there was some way 2 notify people playing games that its jsut improper 2 be so rude  :cry:


jsut created a new one now  but nobody cared 2 join for the past 30 min....   rly spoiled my gaming plans 4 this evening.....



any1 had this b4 and how do u handle jerks like that  :cry:

alright thx for some tips,  the guntower thing rly sped up the prev mission ( to think that i took all the trouble of sniping a scion sentry and using assault mode to kil em faster.... (also works !!! .. mostly)

going to try counterattack and hop in a scavenger (never considered that i could pilot one... or.. drive)


about DX9 errors,  i have seen them on other missions aswell,  but 11 and 12 are the only ones where i could not advance and noticed a significant change in enemy behaviour

it apears the extra challenge on the campaign only adds up to the fun... previusly when u deployed 2/3 guntowers ure victory was olmost certainly secured (unless u went walking into their base)

i have a few questions related to the latest patch (1.3 TA 5) and to an earlier version

first of all, when playing the campaign i often get a DX9 error in-game, while i've never discovered any graphics failing on the campaign,  some of the units do act strange however
(example on mission: Thin Ice (11)  when the recycler clears of the ice fields about 2,5 min after deploying it a swarm of 20+ scion vessels attack your base)
another example on mission: Counterattack (12) after securing the base that is under attack,  scion pilots would enter the derelict scavengers (required for mission) pretty much killing your chance of ever gaining enough rec's (no recycler on that mission)


i can imagine the campaign not working and that i should dual-install the earlier 1.1 / 1.2 for the campaign, 
though i am unable to find the 1.2 patch :/ (used Filefront and google,  neither of them worked 4 me...)
(i did find the 1.1 patch,  but when playing a game with that version pressing escape (opening the menu) does not apear to be working

could anyone tell me if the campaign fails on 1.3  and where to find the 1.2 patch  :-)?
