Im also working on a forest-based RW map at the moment, but that one isnt going to be ready for a while. I must say that my photoshop and texture skills are getting far better though :)
Man, I can't wait for the Expansion pack and G66 to come out. We're supposed to buy new pc's in a few months, if all this comes together I'm gonna freak!!!!!!!!aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow, those are awesome.
Currently I'm thinking about pushing the boundaries of strat games by making maps where there are six base areas to accomodate six players. And some other ones that encourage people to deploy their recycler somewhere different to where it spawns.

This is 1.3 pb 5.1 high low instant map.I created and carved the landscape around ramp near recycler.I throw st-dune sky and sky color 100 0 56 25 300(purple/gray/desert sky) foreground 255 143 147 and raindrops.
I'm liking that modified version of hilo a lot. The only problem i see is that sometimes snipers like to hide inside of things like trees -- which is why I pre-emptively recommend not placing any uncollidable map objects that cannot be turned off through the props setting.
P.S. @ Hybird, whats with that thing on the bottom of the picture?

No,the cave alike carved out of ramp and created a tunnel visual.Maybe,I put something object props like giant spike or iceberg buried deep in ground and raise the ground up to make arch something like that.I know its so hard to dig out of ramp.I couldnt make them a flat down.Look at first part of single mission,giant cave is what i want.No props.

but it would be good if someone made corners, and X and T junctions wouldn't it? (hint hint modelers :P)
Not sure about corners, but definately junctions.
They will appear some time. People have made them.
