Anyone here play Total Annihilation? How about Dark Reign or Warzone 2100?

I've been playing through some old(and some obscure) RTS games lately. TA is definitely my favorite of them. The mod community is huge and it's still played by a decent number of people online.

Also, I believe TA is where the Intimidator mortar tower got its name. The TA version is much more... intimidating though. :P

Does anyone want to help me out on a minimod i'm working on? I just really need beefier, upgraded models of the Armory and Stronghold for a Level 2 Armory and Stronghold. The Stronghold will fire a daywrecker-like weapon, so it'd be great if the Stronghold's weapon crate launcher looks like it can accomodate a superweapon.

Anyone want to work on a minimod with me? I was thinking of making a DM mod where each team member would submit one or two unique ships designed for DM play. I could work on ODFs. If anyone wants to submit a map thats fine too.

Basically, anyone who wants to submits their own ship model. Walkers, hovertanks, scouts, assault tanks, aircraft, anything, as long as it's unique. I make the ODFs, we pack it all together and release, like a mini community project or something.

Anyone in? Or should I forget about this?

Would it be difficult to add an option to prevent a hardpoint from using a crate so unit specific weapons aren't ruined?

Say adding a noUpgrade = 1 under a weapon slot like this?

weaponHard1 = "HP_CANNON_1"
weaponName1 = "gwhatever"
weaponAssault1 = 1
noUpgrade1 = 1

1>Changable music. Maybe have the Music.odf control music.

2>Spawners. Something that spawns a unit for a certain side like in FE, without all the hack.

3>Weapon colors. Why not have weapons that use startcolor>middlecolor>finishcolor like the shields do? It could be useful for a weapon that fires, flares up, and fizzles out again.

4>Weapons that do less damage for distance traveled. See #3 above.

5>Charge glows. Have MAG cannon weapons use a charge up glow for each weapon level.

And 1 more question, does anyone else notice that planar animations are broken?

Would it be possible to have a morphtank change classes when deployed?

Say having a hovertank change into a walker.

Does 1.3 have support for new shields? If so, how do I use them?
