Has anyone made the Black Dog Grizzy from the Red Odyssey Intro movie?
I like the look of it, if no one has made it, i may do it for fun.

BZ1
TRO...
Also, found the Black Dog Intro Scav image.
I made the duke a long time ago... if i can find it, i post a pic.
Im just going to stop posting here now... seems safer :P
I guess i never made the skin for it but here's the model i did. (437 faces)

Someone else did the TRO movie tank, I'm pretty sure. It's very smooth, and always seemed too high-poly for me to bother with. Besides, my plate was full doing everything else from TRO...

That BDog Scavenger is VERY important, btw... the large size is due to an historic achievement in human biometal gathering technology and leads directly to BZ2's method. :)

My "Duke" nuke is 196 faces... :-P

Why do the CRA have two gun towers...
Because they are COOL!!! :-P
Because the one GT with the AT sucks in strat?
I'm not sure, but since BZ2 gave us 'upgrade' I addressed it by having one the upgraded form of the other. Given that they had both portals and the cloak it looks like the CRA was technologically ahead of the rest of us... fwiw I think that's why the BDog Scav was a target, as it was infringing on the technology the CRA thought was theirs alone.

upgrade works if they look similar.
The cloak unbalances strat when a whole army can decloak in your base, i hope you didn't give all strat tanks cloak Av. (or atleast have a host control to disable it)
In BzE i let only the heavy chinese tank have cloak and the ia can't use it.
In Battlezone or Red Odyssey the turrets and Gun Towers can't lead a target, you can run around in circles and never be hit. Another thing is the engine doesn't want to use custom names for the abtowe and the sbtowe, i hope you don't have that problem, i can't get past it. (though it's not a problem in MP)
Since BZC is for BZ2 1.3, all the problems you've mentioned above are irrelevant except the balance, which is a good question.
Nobody mention BZE :P
All the tanks that can cloak in RO would be able to in BZC:TRO. There are options though, such as if you choose my recycler varient with "goodies", the command can paint all targets, even cloaked ones. Plus there's time enough for things to react, but if you know your fighting chinese, you should be able to build your base to repel such attacks.
That, and host can always control wich vehicles and races can be used in a game. Because, you know, BZ2 is better like that :P

My thread and Avatars battlezone forum i'll speak about what ever i like, i don't know what your problem is...
Woah, hold on a second!
The ':P' is an indication of either sarcasm, joking, or a tongue-in-cheek coment. I simply said that because arguments tend to spring up around here with BZE, BZC and BZ. Don't draw any more conclusions from that 'cause that's all it was.
And it's not Avatar's BZ Forum, it belongs to all of us and we all have equal right to post here and say what we like. Av is just a mod. :)
Sorry if that sounded a little snappy, I'm not in a good mood today.
That's Master Avatar! Not just a mod.. a master. ;)
Not just a master. A God.
The Bz Gods write the code. :)
Am I missing something here? Last time I checked Av was one of the BZ Supreme Council, he writes the storyline... did he get promoted?
The CRA I have are all as true to TRO as possible. Only the Mongo (Golem) can't cloak as the BZ2 version is tied into morphing, which walkers can't do. So Strat should be very close to TRO strat, which was a real cluster... I decloaked four Mongos inside Mower's base one of the few times we messed with TRO strat and it was pretty ugly...
For BZ2 I envision a 'cloak jammer' available as a Recy variant for TRO MP play, but given how the 1.3 cloak works I'm not sure how I'd do it...

DLL.
Track all items that cloak (not hard in C++) and if they are deployed near the jammer undeploy them.
hmm...my sensor would be good, and/or dll telling units near x to go to combat mode
n1 beat me to it
Well, after some experimenting with just that sort of thing I didn't want to get into a fight between the DLL telling things to Decloak and the Player telling them to cloak. Might really confuse the AI, and who knows what it would do to Multiworld play...
Lately I'm thinking more along the lines of just beaconing any cloaked enemy units when they got near the jammer, and possibly resetting their 'pteam' (perceived team) back to an enemy. This would be more passive, rather than actively messing with the units, and still let your AI attack them as needed.

That was going to be my other idea. Objectify anything cloaked near a detector, but only cloaked things. Label them as 'Disturbance' or 'Cloaked'.
Bz doesn't have a jammer, so you are changing things. I thought you was going for as close to original as possible?

recycler varient, as in not stock, an extra option available for hosts to choose.

Variants and options...
Stock is stock, and Recy variants are whatever... :)
Besides, I think having such a thing as a "Cloak Jammer" available for Strat variations would be in keeping with the original TRO spirit, especially given that they pulled the cloak out from under you in one of the SP missions...
I mean, I'd love to even have it play the wav file from that mission and give you a few seconds to sweat before your cloak just quit, but that can be pretty heavy handed and I prefer a lighter touch. There's also the fact that leaving them cloaked but highlighting them and allowing the AI to attack them leaves the cloaked ship without weapons when your AI opens up on them. I like that, for some reason...
Lol... I picture some newb cruising up to the 'Cloak Jammer' and going "hmmm, I wonder what this thing is?" while the Mongos are all turning in his direction...

The point here is to think outside the box a bit when converting things to the BZ2 engine, since Recy variants and the 1.3 patch give us capabilities we never had in BZ1. It'd be a crime to waste that capability, and I hope others do cool BZ1-ish things nobody else thought of...
For example I have as another option the ability to give and take a shield from the cloaked unit that does nothing but highlight them in the outward teamfiltered 'spray' from the cloak jammer (which is actually a GT, or arcmine, or or or...) :)

I like the whole BZ1 style so much I started making up a race from scratch that would fit within the confines of BZC :-P
Coxxon has a Fury race, wish he would respond about it. He floated through here last week.
