i sometimes when the enemy is attacking in waves, when that happens the the turrets attacks the first waves but in the second wave there is on 20% chanse that the turrets are "blind" and dont attack them. only if there get an hit by an enemy weapon the attack.

Sometimes your turrets are distracted by enemy units behind a building or a hill. Selecting your turrets and telling them to stop (4) should solve such problems because then they choose new and better targets.
1.3 rats are retarded
Precisely.
Then, in that case, so are 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 rats.
Much was said about Turret capability for the 1.3 patch.
Shirts were torn, teeth gnashed...a few bloody noses resulted...
In the end it was decided to make it a SERVER OPTION as to their intelligence level.

they are, and always will be idiots to me
In my opinion, the only good turret, is a Gun Spire.
You wouldn't have thought so in 1.3 Private Beta when they would shoot themselves. :D
GS has his own dumbness, can be hovered and can be taken out easily [if ur lucky or know what ur doing]
the best anit-scout turret is me in a laser scout (or someone else in a laser scout, personaly I trust myself :p )
after that comes ZST rats
Perhaps, but we are talking about 1.3 here, not 1.2. You can try to do that little "Hover" thing to the Gun Spire, but you will fall down, and then you will have your ass zapped off.And although I have forgotten everything I once knew about hovering, I still believe that moving out of the Gun Spire's Y arc repeatedly is not true hovering, it's closer to arcing. :)
technically, its circle straffing/wobblekilling
3gs are better then 3 zst rats :D
you guys dont realy know what I'm talking about me thinks, GS miss if you're in air moving from side to side, with chains you can kill it HOVERING, and if you realy practice it alot you can just stay in air forever and the GS will miss every shot...
3 gses are no better then 3 ZST rats
it all depends on what you need them for, 3 ZST rats with chains can kill tanks and scouts faster then 3 gses, same for heavy units, GS has range but rats can be moved, also, rats can be protected by curtiens completly [unlike GTS and spires] and they cost less
so its realy subjective and depnds, better in what area?
at killing a hovering scout :D
i know what your talking about, basicially yout going around the gs faster then it can turn, same principle applies to circle/wobble killing, you just have the smallest sircle possible
Just sit under the lung in anything and plink away... that's why I like that variation GS where the lung is in the center of the arms. That little change perfected the GS design IMHO, although I'm sure every 'Realistic and effective heavy Base Defense hater' will disagree. :p
I think the real problem with BZ2 Turrets and GT/GS's is that Offensive players hate them since effective Turrets/GT/GS can counter a skilled opponent without requiring thought, skill, or further involvement from the Player that deploys them. This leads to endless debates over how effective they should be.
A true RTS would have:
Turrets that own Light units but are ineffective against Medium units.
GT's that own Light and Medium Units but are ineffective against Heavy units.
And that would be that. To take down a Turret you'd swarm with Lights or attack in a Medium/Heavy unit. To take down a GT you'd swarm with Mediums or attack in a Heavy unit. To counter Heavies you'd need Players in Heavies.
This lack of a concrete heirarchy of measure/countermeasure is what leads to all this trouble in BZ2. Too many FPS players require the ability of a Light to own a "Heavy anything" depending on the Player skill level, while RTS's spell it out ahead of time and enforce it through gameplay regardless of Player skill level.
It's one of the little joys of an RTS/FPS hybrid, the endless debates on how things should be. :)

yes, you can sit under that lung all you want.
except when they come in a scout and blast you to hell
did i mention there are 3?
Regardless of what Hollywood thinks any level of skill can be overcome by sheer opposing numbers... even if you were in GOD mode enough units could swarm you to drown you in a field of scrap...
blurpLOLblurble...
Also, multiple fields of covering fire are what good D is all about...
:D
that, and trapping the enemy in their base :D
