Is there a way to enlarge the window or go to full screen when in shift+F9 mode. When I go into shift+F9 mode the screen goes to a small window that makes it difficult to edit.
Alt+enter., try that.
Alt-Enter works, but you have to go back to windowed mode to name pathpoints or save the map...

Edit render_editor.cfg, look for this chunk:
