since yesterday i finaly got BZ2.I wanted to play,no problem...build up base,returned to base and everything begans to lag.The camera turned extremly left and right,no possibility to do anything.ESC is not the button to open the menue,which button is it?And i can remember,there was a console,which button was that?

DUDE, your specs are better than mine :-o.
1. It lags due to the lights / build & other effects, turn off lights in the options menu.
2. If you are using your mouse, set the input menu to Mouse setting.
3. ESC SHOULD be the Ingame Menu toggle for All mode (SP and MP)
4. Its Ctrl + ~ (`).

You should gt sp3. Unless its pirated.
Might want to check if you have any disk-intensive processes running in the background, like an AV/spyware scan.
Hm..damn,i tested it.Turn Light to [None] doesn't help,just a little bit.
ESC semms to be nothing ingame,no function at all.Is there any other key for menue?
Hm...i got Kaspersky,it's running every time,nothing else.
But i know,something about 7-8 years ago,when i had an older(very old^^) PC,BZ2 runs without any Problems,no lags or others.But why do i have problems now?I can't imagine,i mean,my computer is much better than in the past. :-(
Try setting everything down to low or off. Most of the time i get 78 fps that way.
Okay,everything set to low or off,it's just a little bit better than the way before,but that couldn't be the solution,i want to play BZ2 without any lags an high resolution^^

Are you using an English KB?
Here's a keyboard cfg file you can use to customize your keys. It won't cause bad assets. Just run it and point it to your addon folder. It will put a file called bzgame_keys.cfg file in your addon folder.
No,i'm using a german one,but the fact that i can't open the menue is not so bad,i just want to play the game in MP without that silly lags.
The only time bz2 ever lags for me is if I have tonnes of units close together, but I can see how an anti-virus program could disrupt the game.
Another thing.. which patch are you running??

Since 10 hours i'm using the 1.3 beta patch,believe me or not,it's much better now.Only when there are too many units or to much buildings it lags a bit an the fps goes down to 8.96.
If all your other problems are gone, then that "overflow" lag is normal. :-)

Could you be more specific on the Intel Dual Core processor. Is it a Pentium D or a Core 2 Duo, or a dual core celeron? I believe there are dual core celerons now.
Anyways. I recommend trying a spyware scan using adaware. Just in case you have some spyware running in the background killing your performance. At that speed, the game should run just fine at high.

Hm...is there something like a mod that pushes my fps?i started BZ2 windowed,the fps was 112 when i looked away from the base,but when i turned arround,it goes down to 12 or 8.Same with high AND low graphics.That sucks.
That is because more things on in the viewing frustum; BZ2 does its transformation on the cpu rather than the video card, so the more things, the slower it gets...
