About halfway into today, I remembered that valetines day was tomorrow, which was February 14th. Immediately, I realized that meant today was Friday the 13th. I was a little bit supersticous. But that's nonsense, or so I thought...
I just saw on the news: Congress passes 800 billion dollar stimulus without even reading it. When does something this big get passed without review? Heh, the times must be worse than I thought.
But I also remembered reading some conspiracy theories about how Obama plans to turn the United States government into a socialist one, and one of the ways he was going to do it was to blitscreg past the checks and balances of Congress. So, Obama has taken 800 billion dollars in tax payer money just like that. Sure sounds like a communist thing to do.

"Never ascribe to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. "
They aren't stupid, they are planning and evil. It's a field day over on capital hill. The 'communist' party has control and is literally saying "they hell with the people" and removing everything from our economy that makes any money and taking away every right we have.
Move to Europe or Australia ASAP you guys!

Anyway, lol.

Heh, I'd prefer Europe over Australia, considering all the anti-gamer/fun crap being passed by the government (plus some insane wait times well after the release date everywhere else in the world).

I'd say Australia, for the sake of completing my list of the 500 things to do before you pass away, like eating the triple cheeseburger I heard they have. Triple... And ALSO for the sake of getting a boxed version of BZ2!

I have TWO boxed versions of BZ2. Both autographed by GSH. You won't find THAT in Austrailia!
If I move anywhere, it'll be japan. 100mbit symmetrical broadband, all the anime I could ever want, sushi, etc. I'm even studying Japanese as a second language right now :-D.

What anti-gamer/fun crap?
But I do agree on the insane wait times for stuff. It has been getting better recently though.

Really?
I say Europe since they are now supposedly slowly reversing their universal health care. Japan would be cool but the culture is so different.
Passing this bill, and not READING IT? I'm in
New Jersey and many of the others around me agree with me! I am in the practical Liberal Democrat capital over here...
Ammendum: About the anti gamer thing, watch Zero Punctuation BBB.
Never seen ZP. Don't watch that much TV.
Whats up with this anti gamer thing then??

Can't we just get -- oh yeah.. illegal... Remind yourself to mail me the manual in 10 years, Angstromicus...

:-) YAY! Triple cheese, here I (Stops) wtf?! Insufficient funds...
And just so you know, here in Singapore we have the Mega Big Mac (Temporarily only I think)... ooooh 4 patties (however only 2 slices of cheese)!!!
QuoteI say Europe since they are now supposedly slowly reversing their universal health care.
??? you want to come here because our healthcare system is getting worse
and costs us even more than it did before???
Better wise up, private health care has always had a parasitic relationship with the state system here, if you have a cardiac arrest in a private hospital, they call an ambulance to take you to the state run one!
You are a propaganda victim.
So, just chuck out a few more thousand dollars your for life and get the next plane to Australia. :-D (No, not forcing, your choice, still...)
Edit: Be sure to pass a few hundred dollars to my friend there so he can buy me a few of those triplers (That's what I call 'em!) LOL!

Bad, very bad. You're supposed to have 3 languages if you study Japanese... Oh yeah, I forgot you're American... Well, guess that means Singapore education beats America's!
Uhhhh.... no. *pats head*
GSH's autograph on BZ2? Is anyone with me in thinking thats very eerie but at the same time as cool as it could get around here?
Lol. CANT BELIEVE MY MOTHER THREW THE BOX OUT!
Was speaking to a guy from Sweden. Has a wife and kids and only spends $10 per doctor or hospital visit, with a max of $100/year and he really likes the quality of care. Might be a good model for the U.S. or might not.

Is anyone ever going to tell me what this anti gamer thing is???
Go and watch Zero Punctuation, on the internet, where it is, not on TV.

Which one?
One from before 2009, I checked a few and still didn't find it...

Okay... so you're freakin' over your box... Is that what BZ2 was like? The 10-year-old Halo? And how come my CD is cyan and magenta while others are blue and yellow?

there was recently a burger called a 'quadstacker'. im sure you can understand what they mean by that. tastes absolutely dreadful and was banned several weeks after its release.
about a year ago i saw battlezone 2 being sold in my local supermarket's electronics section, among other later games :O.
apparently australia has passed america in the worlds most overweight country. prior to these statistics being realised, i was kinda priding myself on australia having fit/healthy people. :?
America has more overweight people than us, but only because they have more people.
Over 50% of all Australians are obese. But that is only 1/30th of the population of America (10 million).
And most of that percentage in America HASN'T eaten at the only burger joint that still serves out a 4x4 Burger. (Only found on the West coast)
* 4x4 = 4 Meat and 4 Cheese.
* The Place in question is In 'n Out Burger, pretty good food, you can see them cooking, cutting, and basically watch your order from start to finish from the front door.
* I have never eaten anything more than a 1 meat 1 cheese burger there, but they do have the combinations on the menu. (and "hidden" ones on their site)
* I personally only get to eat there once every year when I actually visit family out in the West. (The journey is worth getting somethign better than crappy fast food around here.)
* Yes, my life sucks.

It's actually the CD's that are autographed...and when you open the boxes, an eerie light comes out, and you hear the sound of distant wailing of lost hovering souls.
He brought a bunch of cool schwag to my first BZ lan party in 2000...I still have a bunch of business card-sized Pandemic stickers and a Pandemic t-shirt from that event.
wow
I could use your knowledge of BZ history... And some nice pictures and scans too.
Just wished I was 10 years older so I could get 5 such copies (Boxed with the autograph)... instead of just one (NOT crappy) CD...
Just how much does such a copy cost? S$15? S$25?
For the signiture? more than you have.
For a boxed version, I forget, but when I got it, it was priced well for me.
Perhaps you could ask GSH to take a picture of his signature and send it to you via email :-D?
Then you could tack it on the box or something.

HA!!!!Well, I bet S$500 is enough, or I could just get a new CD, get the manual and key sheet from TOO, and then did what you just said, TOO!
Yes, I know TOO = Angstromicus.

Arby, trust me, it is a lot. And it was not a threat you ineptite, it was a statement of fact. It was not to much but more than enough to show it was worth it.

Ha..I be pissed. I've got the box too complete with manual, and the card thing with the key instructions and even some random pamplet thing...
i have the manual, its getting pretty tattered.
im going to scan it soon and upload it to BZcomplex. unless NK's already on it. i think the keycards already up there.
just so im clear, what exactly IS a LAN party?
LAN party is a ton of PCs hooked to an intranet for a giant game.
We really should get back to the porkulus bill.
Is that in the Porkulus? Wouldn't be surprised.
