So... my band has been going for quite a long time and many many months down the line we still havent decided on a name.
so far, the only word we can all decide on is 'Hadea' (yep, put forward by me after playing FE for a while!). Occasional random words have been added likes 'scars of hadea' and all that jazz, but so far nothing really sticks.
Thought i may as well post something on here. oh its metal btw... so nothing girly, like 'angels of pink fluffy hadea'
Im sure its harder to name a band than to write the material...
It is. My band took about a month or so to decide on our name (Complication)... and some of the suggestions were utterly awful! We can get songs written (music and lyrics) inside of a day, sometimes in just a few hours... our guitarist is a genius :D The only bad side is that I have to sing it, lol
I'm sure we can come up with some suggestions, though, let's see...
first few nicked from various ship names...
Avenger
Blade
Brawler
Claw
Demon
Dominator
Dragoon
Drath
Gorgon
Griffin
Hammer
Harpie
Jackal
Krul
Lancer
Liberator
Locust
Mauler
Scorpion
Sentinel
Sentry
Siren
Talon
Titan
Thunderbird
Thunderbolt
Triton
Tyrant
Warrior
Wolverine
Wraith
Zeus
Some of those would make really cool names, actually, espcially if you make them plural and add either 'Of Hades' 'Of Hadea' or 'Of Cerberus' to the end :)
Tyrants of Hades is the best I can come up with from that lot, but I'm sure you guys can do better.
My band's name is Harbingers of Cool. You can't have that one. My old parody black-metal band was Pink Unicorns of Doom. You can't have that one either.
Other finalists:
Walking Around The House Wearing Only A Lampshade (or maybe that's an album name)
Oozing Uvula
EDITS:
Closed Due To Aids
Diablus in Musica (A reference to the tritone, not to Slayer)
Type of music?
Edit: And hedgeclipper is an awesome name!
Eternal Scar
Bullet with a Name (the name of my Rock Band 2 band)
Rend these wounds
Hadean Gate
aaaand...
ZERO ANGEL
Yeah i know it sounds egotistical but my nickname sounds like it would also be suitable for a band name.

Bullet with a Name (the name of my Rock Band 2 band)
Well, if we are going by RB2 names:
"Goony Lock"
Or my favorite:
"Freewheeling Fancy Lads"
I think ZA has the best suggestions so far, tbf :)
Headbanging Barbies.
Nuclear Winter?
I do like Zero Angel as a band name actually.
knife to a gunfight
Actually I like some of your suggestions too, in particular these ones:

Avenger
Lancer
Liberator
Talon
Tyrant
Wraith
suffix: "Of Hades", or "Of Hadea"
Building upon his idea, I also think these would be cool names:
"Slasher Prime" (after the commander of the HDA, Slasher Prime Thanatos)
"Miasma"
type any of those words into a band name generator from google LOL
it might give you a good laugh or maybe actually give u a name
I'm not sure Miasma will be very good, it means stink :P
Solar flare
Portal
Bio-metal men (your sound is metal rock right?)
Laughing Stock
Young Punks
Cythonians
lol, this is fun.
When my band was Axeminister we came up with the name because our bassist worked laying floors and Axeminister is the name of a type of hard-to-lay flooring. lol
lol, I like it!
Sounds like more of you are musicians than I realised... I am in good company :-D

A miasma is a choking gas, not an odor.
Hmmm...
Eclectic Apocalypse
Reign of Hairror (for a hair metal band)
Violent Uprising
Promisingly Enveloping the Natural Institutions of Sound
Seven Bright Crusaders of the Doomed Apocalypse
Morning After
Flying Green Brutality of the Confused Apocalypse
Walking Forests
Philip's Glasses (!) (If your fans get the Philip Glass reference, you should hug them)
The Loneliest Monk (!) (And so with my man Thelonious)
Destructive Forces Vying For Attention
Intravenous Injection
Odin's Revenge
Thrice Injured in Ragnorak
Belated Birthday
Green Day.
More to come as the artistic motivation strikes.
Lol, what about Superheated Injection?
FE reference, it's what they use as a death sentence... superheated plasma injection
my vocal guy came up with 'Scars of Hadea'. very Bz2 inspired lol!
miasma is an album and song name by 'The Black Dahlia Murder', a band with a man with no testes on the mic
Something I read in the news made "Raghead Gangbang" pop into my head. Good for a punk band, I guess.
Superheated Injection is pretty good.
Last Throws of the Confused Apocalypse
Magistri Musicae
Magistri Tritonus (or whatever the appropriate Latin is for "tritone")
I am bored, here's some BZ2 related ideas (if you could call them that much, I am waterlogged from the pool at the hotel we are staying at for these past 2 days).
- Recycler (heh)
- Lightning Titans
- Arc Titans
- Damned Scavvies!
- Scions of the New Age*
- Arc Warriors
- Jimmy and the Jammers (major heh)
- Colorgroup Not Found
And...spent...
*This one could be taken a couple ways:
1. BZ2 Reference about the Scions and the Dark Planet transformation.
2. The definition of Scion is "Decendant or heir."
3. You like motorized boxes...
Not Enough Scrap
Requires 1 Power
"Offensive Unit Lost"
...While we're on that tone...

Introspective Analysis: Hadea, A Case Study
Run some of those by your band. Hit us up with the feedback. I'm really not feeling "Hadea" though as its too hard to construct a decent band name around it.
I still think Hedge Clippers is an awesome name.
we went with scars of hadea. well, for now anyway.
its bound to change to something entirely different. i only posted on here because of the word 'hadea'
See, I don't particularly like the sound of the word "hadea." I would go for something more guttural, something with a lot of nice, hard, Germanic consonants. Or some multisyllabic Latinate words.
So, how has the band-naming gone? Still on "Scars of Hadea?"
nope. i quit... joined a new one.
I've been recording original music a lot here lately. Got seven done with guitars, vocals and drum loops, now I need a bassist and a real drummer to practice this stuff and go to studio. I'll reveal some of it soon. I already gave Red Devil a taste.
Once we get our first track recorded, I'll give you guys a look in :)
