Post by: Void on September 27, 2009, 01:03:24 PM
hey bzoners,
my band seeking first light recorded a demo track a few days ago, we put it on our myspace
we're from sydney australia and im shack the guitarist and the song was recorded in a garage -it was cheap as lol.

if you like the hardcore genre of music or even metal, give it a listen
www.myspace.com/seekingfirstlightaus

if all you're gonna do is be a fool about hardcore music, get the *Ammo* out of this topic.
extreme critisism is welcome, unless you don't listen to hardcore or know anything about it. in that case, as i said earlier.....get the *Ammo* out of the topic and don't bother posting.

sorry for being a *service truck* but i know thats what some people like to do

love, void (shack) xxxxxxxxooooooo

jamsh is a legend.

and seriously, if you say "OMG HARDCORE IS SO GAY ITS A BUNCH OF NOISE ROCK MUSIC AND JAZZ ARE WAY BETTER" i will shoot you in the face

Apparently so.

Sounds pretty good. I like it. Intro sounds like Alkaline Trio :-D

And oh yeah, change the title. I started thinking warez as soon as I saw the thread.

Im a legend? what?

And I'm a myth.

This whitenoise is the work of Sydneysiders... obviously.

As a Melburnian, I can't stand it dude.

Shoot me in the face all you like, but this is not music.

^
Oh look... flamebait from BBB! A thing unheard of!!

As I am posting in a topic monitered by 2 British globmods, I fear for the structure of this post.

and yeah you don't need to post your opinion of this style of music is basically what i was trying to say while being a service truck i thought maybe there would be some people who are into hardcore music like parkway drive you know theres lots of these types of bands in australia and lots of fans you'd be surprised.

@bigbadboogie - you are right. it's a bunch of noise. heavy noise...thats what its all about

I'm not one to discourage making music, whatever the genre may be.  If you've found a type of music you like to make, that's great.  Hardcore just isn't my favorite type.

my opinion

A. beginning sounds like a breaking Benjamin song[new album 29th! :-D!]

B.it has a pretty good riff

C.defiantly change the title

D.lower the vocals to a slightly softer note

What makes a note "soft" as opposed to "hard?"

link to, of course an iron maiden song.

note the softness of Bruce's voice in the beginning and end compared to the chorus and main vocals.

It's heavy. Can't understand what he's saying though. Some of the guitar sound good. I'll give you a link to my old stuff and my brothers.

granted its heavy, though i understand most, i to don't know some of the stuff he says, being its a fast paced song during the main vocals. i just posted it to show the difference between two different singing styles, soft and slow, and fast and heavy.

cant beat a bit of THIS (http://www.myspace.com/lambofgod), or maybe THIS (http://www.myspace.com/whitechapel)

My new band has chosen 'Reclamation' to be our siggy-cover, you can hear the original there.

"Laid To Rest" is fun as hell to play!

Chris Adler FTW

EDIT: Axe that sounds good!

Wow thanks everybody. All that stuff was recorded back in 1996.
I currently don't have a band but I'm working on 17 new songs. I hope to record seven of them this year, so far the first seven are alternative music. But about eight of the songs are metal and two that are sort of swing music, I'll work on them when I'm done perfecting the first set. Might have to hire a drummer. I have a couple of people willing to do the alternative music on bass. I'll keep you guys/girls updated.
