Public 1.3 Beta 3 Archive / Re: 1.3 Public Beta 3 Av's
October 10, 2006, 09:43:34 PM
I was running BZ2 in windowed mode(watching the desktop, was waiting for someone to log onto AIM)
When I loaded the map,it was fine, then I opened the options menu, then remembered I couldn't edit the light amount(didn't touch it).
As I resumed, the FPS went over 120,and there was lag between the input and the game response,so I opened the commandline(took it about 3 seconds from me clicking anything to action,or using the mouse took slightly longer.)I tried to check the memstats and some other stuff, and as  I exited the console ,the game locked up(windows still responded though),while playing a warning sound for a base under attack, and the radar ping in a loop.
Note:no enemies where in the base.
System specs.

Oh yeah,I replayed that one later to try and do it again, but when I went back to the game it worked,so I thought ok,random thing, then I got to the movie,I went to change the brightness, and when I returned I could move my guy around(aim, walk, etc)

Nope, fresh install of BZII with 1.3pb2.
It does the same thing when the editor tries to open it.
I'll mess around with it...
#6
Anyone else gotten the problem I have with "Fortress" in IA?
I managed to find a BZII copy in my room,I did a fresh install, and I still got "Water dimensions do not match terrain dimensions."

Most of them where about the screen imploding if cracked or whatnot... :-o
Hope I can get a monitor like my dad's 18-20 or so inch monitor 1280x800 or something+ resolutions with a couple hundred hertz refresh rate :-D

Well,I found a work-around,appearently only resizing to 640x480 works...kinda.
And wow, monitors have tons of warning labels on the inside.
And I think they put the fuse in an intentionally horrible place where you barely reach, lol.

Ok,when I recently opened bz2 after rolling back my gfx card to the right version for bz2,my monitor has been set by bz2 to 1280x960 or something, which royally messes my old monitor i'm having to use since my good one died in a thunderstorm.

Even if I change the resolution  in the game options desktop, etc,it still stays on 1280x960,causing my monitor to make the most horrible of sounds because it really can't handle that resolution.

Oh yeah,I rolled back the card drivers because it was doing that,to see if it would do the proper resolution.

I can't reinstall at the moment,bz2 cd is too scratched,I'll see if I can find one of my back-ups...

P.S.
Whould pb2 have problems installing over pb1?

But on bz2edit the IgnoreSync is replaced with "ImDedicatedServer(void)"

But on both it complains about "water dimensions do not match ground dimensions",or something of that sort.

Wait,I'm confused,right now,all I have is 202MB out of a total 905 Mbs?
Battlezone II doesn't do that to my system,I can have WMP,MSN,AIM,etc, etc going, and it still runs perfectly fine...and when I start BZ2,about 70 MBs add on,but,it doesn't use all of it....
