It is possible to convert dxtbz2 back.  It is a normal dxt file but with a new header, a very tiny bit of hex editing and it should work fine.

For the "Between 0 and" question, put 9.
What do you mean "until there werent any left"?  Random, unlimited, there is always an infinite more...
Put how many randomizations you want on the first box.

BSer has stuck with his project.  I have stuck with my main project for a very long time now.  Heck, in the programming communities I am in, they have been around decades.

BZ2 should work fine on the 64-bit OS since it has a 32-bit layer.
I doubt they removed that limit, but that limit only applies to not-yet-connected connections, not connections that are fully established.  If BZ2 uses UDP then it does not matter any way.

I looked into learning C/C++, and then realized why people go to school to learn programming. It's no easy task for the average BZ modder to undertake. That said, learning bits and pieces relevent to the game is a different story and a bit easier to comprehend and apply.

And there is a reason many programming jobs will not hire programmers who are taught at a school, they never have the proper drive and are missing huge amount of necessary knowledge.  Self-taught is the way to go!  Still need a degree though.

If only we had the programmers willing to remake Bz in Ogre/raknet, the art work is easy enough to do.

From my perspective I would say:
If only we had the artists for the non-programming aspect to make a new BZ in whatever, the programming is easy enough to do.

Really, in all the groups I have seen, the programmers go on, but no one uses the new functionality, no new models, no nothing.  Programmers need people to use their work to feel validated, else they get bored and move on, as long as someone is always doing something with their work they stick around about forever.  I cannot say that about the artists, seems that if anything new catches their fancy they disappear, never to be heard from again....

I know this is old, but I have been busy.

The reason some old things may complain about XP/Vista/Win7 being NT is because:
Windows 2000 == NT5
Windows XP == NT5.1
Windows Vista == NT6
Windows 7 == NT7 (Hmm, wonder why they call it Windows 7...)

The old Windows 9x line is dead, it had far too many issues, NT was always more stable and faster.

I also like Wings3D because it uses one of my favorite programming styles in a language built for it, Erlang.  :)
Wings3D is *the* proof of concept that the Actor programming model works just as well for desktop apps as it does for massive giant multi-server programs.  :P

The game Sword of the Stars has a whale-like race, ships are liquid filled, very smart, very peaceful, very powerful.

Sports has tactics, not strategy. :P
Looks interesting to try though if you have any demo's or anything available soon.

I still wonder if I am the only one who relates BZ(2) to Action Real-Time Strategy, and not generic hover tank shooter...
I see no RTS in that game...

It always was free as I recall, just you have to prove you are reputable and so forth before they give it to you.  :)

My video is an overclocked ATI 3870, I can play Crysis at max with no issues, so yes, a beast it is.  :)

I got the "FULL INPUT LOG MATCH!!!  Cycle 13507" thing.  CPU is an AMD Opteron 64-bit x2, running Windows XP 32-bit.  I also noticed that the game is only using one CPU, although its affinity is set to both, it never even seems to touch the other core.  Also, Average FPS ranged from 168 to 260, seems mostly CPU bound, and considering it seems mostly CPU bound, perhaps it would be best if it used both cores?
