depends on what you are attacking, how many, how hard to hit... etc etc.

And wether you can get of the first shot ...
A bomber would most likelly be able to do more damage, but if you need to pass by an AA-Rtank it would be useless ...

just think:

would you rather have arc beam, or arc stream.

One big gun, easier to avoid - no damage done.

Lots of small, you'll never dodge them all.

But yeah, depends on the situation.
