Jwk the Hemp Monkey

QuoteHeeh yes that can work wonders unless you computer was just recently purged of that "superfine grey dust".

Heh, i recomend using a wooden paint brush, leaving in the power plug (cause it is earthed) and using a very strong vacume clearner with either a brush head or a thin nozzzel.

Also, having some sort of 'blowing' device is great for forcing the dust out of the hard to reach areas (blowing yourself is bad because the spit can make a short circuit...).

I'm reinstalling Win2k

What a lot of work

List of stuff to install:
Win2k Updates
WMP 9
IE6
DX 9.0c
FireFox (My default browser)
Thunderbird  (My default mail client)
Zone Alarm Firewall
AVG Anti Virus
Spybot Search and Destroy
Adobe Acrobot Reader
Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Battlezone II
Sonic Cine Player
Video Blaster DVR

I almost forgot the Open-Office Suit of programs

EDIT:
Also JRE v1.42
Start Configrator (like msconfig on other versions)
WinRar

there is more but those are pretty much the main things.  Life used to be simpler.  But life also was filled with more computer unknowns.
