I prefer Cthonia, as does Avatar, but Icarus is the official name.

I always thought it would be cool to do a mod where, instead of America and Russia, Britain and Nazi Germany discover biometal first and fight out WW2 in space, with the RAF VS the Gestapo or something,

Sadly I am completely unable to make such a mod.

The Nazis did get biometal craft first. They just... died...

Note they likely never made it that far, though there are reports of the Prototype NSDF of the Truman Era fighting Nazis in space.

Personally once BZC comes out I would love to add some new BZ1 style races like some Germans with new stuff or my Pan Asian Space Coalition.

There is also the matter of food, water, disease, not being killed.

If you have a completely airtight environment, everything can be recycled,

Disease wouldbe less serious than on Earth, on average there would be less serious mutation in the limited bacteria,
