Does the VIR phantom, which is ment to only prevent visual lock-ons, prevent thermal ones like it does in 1.2 and FE still?

It should have 0 affect....or mabey we can make it an option to have a % affect. Defined either though the Missile Weapon ODF, or just a standard setting.

This is quite an important issue IMO.

Has this been tested? In FE it was found that thermal missiles did not follow phantom VIR units.

If this has changed, then it is very good.

Very easy to test. Could've tested before making the thread to confirm...

This is a good point to bring up during this 1.3 beta testing,
but might fall by the wayside against the code if it
can't be fixed easily.

The way FAFs and stingers don't even lock onto vir'd ships
seems a mistake, rendering lancers even more useless for
human v human battles. I'd be happy to see it rectified, UNLESS
it isn't a mistake but part of the nitial game/weapon design.

I made the post a while ago, whilst i was in a rush...anyhow.

Thermal and Visual lock-ons are ment to be seperate. Its why the ODFs have them as seperate, and in BZI a thermal weapon could lock onto a 'vir phantom' using ship reguardless.

TV once said nothing in the ODF's said that phantom should have the affect it had, but it did.
It was a bug.
