Just A thought,

I though that why not have a function in BZ2 that, when the game is Idle in the start menu for 5 mins or so, or in any menu (before the player has loaded a map) that the game can load a demo, kinda like a screen saver.

I do not think it could be too hard, just use battlezone to play a demo file like it allready does, just make it auto start when the game is on and Idle or 5 mins. I suppose it could show new people how the game works or just a battle to act like a screensaver

well, the demo at the moment is an actual video clip, requiring a large amount of HD space... so im not sure if it's really that practical

But isn't the opening movie on your HDD already?

I thought it was part of the install.

I still get the movie without the disc in the tray if memory serves.

I think so, but then the intro thing isn't rendered by the game.

You could always do a mission script to be on a continous and looping cutscene though, with a looping set of events so you could watch your armies be slaughtered over and over :)

I am not talking about a whole movie file that takes up lots of hd space, Just a saved demo file that the game automaticly plays when it is Idle.

Or....you could just stop demanding time from GSH and turn on some music and listen to that whilst in the shell.....

...kinda easier now that you can return to desktop with ease....

Why don't you get your head out of your ass and read what the main title said. (SMALL IDEAR). Not (NEEDED PATCH, REQIREMENT OR INPORTANT FIX!)

Man, It's just a Idear not meant to take anyones time and something to talk about. If GSH has time or wants to divert to something diffrent then it's I idear.
