idea for a tower defense map

Im a big fan of tower defense games and stuff. Is it possible to make such a map like Multiplayer and Instant Action for bz2? And how?

I did a tower defense game once in my python scriptor; very basic, but you had a constructor and just built gun towers along a path as things were spawned in, you defended your recy (which did not build anything), guess it was a more of the defend the whatever game, but still fun enough, just needed a ton of polish.  I think it was RD that tested it with me... or was it greenheart... or was it...  someone... it was a while ago.
