Hmm, I edited my gameprefs.ini files and i don't have any badassets, I just put it back to read-only when im done

Gameprefs is not checked by the asset checker.  It was at one time, but it no longer is.  I have my team colors modified in my gameprefs file and many people have been able to join my sessions without any issues.

Gameprefs is checked, but the results are thrown away before the client/server check is done. However, I do not like the idea of people overwriting the gameprefs file. Basically, it's not for users to mess with. If more items are added to gameprefs in a future patch (and I'm not promising that here), people replacing their gameprefs w/ a modified copy from ta5 will lose out on the documentation of new items.

I programmed in localprefs*.ini for this purpose-- so users can mess with settings. Use it. I mean it.
