I don't know. People fight, people blame others for misfortune and these things lead to wars. If you had a 'World Without Boundaries' (terrorist organization with diabolical nuke strategies from Ace Combat FTW) you would just have civil wars.

There are only two ways for a united Earth: Central Control or 'no problems', where everyone is well off (this would crumble actually, same reasons socialism fails, or it would turn into "Idiocracy").

Hmmmm... I suppose that might be an even bigger issue with the influence of Scions. I.e., Scion supporters vs scion haters, "Scionized" / human biometal cyborgs vs religious fanatics / conspiracy theorists.
