If we suddenly changed the side of the road we drived on, there would be the problem of nobody having a car that they can use

In the UK it started as the left hand side of the road so that you could use your sword with your right hand on people going the other way,

in countries where its right hand drive its so that you wouldn't accidently clip other people when you whipped a horse with your right arm.

all perfectly logical, even if it does hint that we are more violent.

but I do wish we'd switched to the euro before the recession...
