Ok so i did a system permission reset and installed vista sp2. Now im stuck on my moms phone for access to here. I can connect but nothing would le me browse the net. I remember running a troubleshoot and it said something about offline gateway. I cant download anything so what should i do

Turn your modem off for 20 seconds (unplug it or whatever), then turn your router off for 20 seconds.

Yo axe i'm so happy for you and ima let you finish but this idea has the best advice of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Try this: shut down every computer on the network, then restart the router.

Why would you have to shut down every computer?
I find that if I don't have a signature, some people disregard the last couple of lines of a long post.

So the router can re-discover the network.

Maybe re-"discover" isn't the best word, but yeah.

I just kind of assumed it's a wireless network.

Re-build might be better.

Actually its unplug modem first then router for 35 seconds to a minute or two then plug the modem back in and wait for 35 seconds then the router. No restart on computers are necessary.
