Heh. I just happen to be around when you come around for help and I'm just first to respond sometimes. Lots of other users on the community are good with quick support.

It seems that, even if your FPS exceed the normal set values for graphics adjusting all weather effects do not come back such as Snow, rain and lighting.

I have to go into options and click weather on if I remember that a map has snow or something. It's been bothering me for several patches ago. Also, I almost nearly never go under 150 FPS in multi and it seems that weather is always getting turned off when switching to another map.

I even have this set in local prefs

WeatherOffFPS = 15.0
WeatherOnFPS = 21.0

I still miss those pretty weather effects.

Is this a mistake no one has noticed?

How many times have we been over this people?  He has vista so the setup.exe that you see in the main directory of the cd doesn't work because its 16-bit.  So instead, navigate to one of the folders where you will find another program also called setup.exe which you can run.

Edit: this is directed at everyone before squirrel posted.

I have 64 bit Vista and my setup.exe works just great. and My disk is the 1.1 disk. It's the demoshield that's 16-bit, not the installer its self.

Edit: I believe even yourself read what I posted wrong.

But he's fixed up now, it's all good.

Try going into the setup folder in the CD and run the setup.exe file (Blue computer screen icon). THat should fix you up.

I saw this similar problem when trying to run Battlezone II in a virtual machine, resolutions around it... I know of none.

Sorry for the lack of words when I first posted this.

Even though he was an online buddy, it still affects a person. :(

Red, we played many strats :). He could never win against me though, lol...

God Bless his family, and goodbye Red.

An old player that used to be "high ranked" in my clan FTD many years ago who goes by "Red" (Do not confused with Red_Devil) has been killed in a car accident in October. About two years ago he disappeared from battlezone 2 all together and was rarely seen online. Since then I would take a look at my messenger to see if he would ever sign on. Today "red" signed on, except, it wasn't red...

(5:08:17 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: who is this?
(5:08:26 PM) squirrelof09 ---: You don't remember me?
(5:08:50 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: Honey, this is Red's mom. I can only assume you have not heard
(5:08:58 PM) squirrelof09 ---: Heard what?
(5:09:20 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: He as killed in a car accident on Oct 16th

(5:09:31 PM) squirrelof09 ---: Oh.
(5:09:49 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: I did not realize that his Yahoo was enabled

(5:10:15 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman has signed off.
(5:14:05 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: Sorry to have broken the bad news.
(5:14:50 PM) squirrelof09 ---: it's cool. I've kinda worried about him a little. I mean, i live in alabama, but we played games quite a lot to know him a little personal. used to talk with him in voice servers a lot.
17:15
(5:16:10 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: He has been working out of town alot lately so he was hardly on anymore.
(5:16:46 PM) thexxoutsiderx Coleman: if you go to www.mem.com and type in Jonathan Coleman to can see the man you met online

I didn't know this guy in person, but I got to talk with him a lot when we had a teamspeak server going some time ago. He did not have many sober years in his life, but he was always a fun teammate to have in battlezone.

Since I started to get FTD going again, I've been trying to get in contact with my old friends of the clan. Red would have been the first person I would have had contact with again if I hadn't found that information out.

I don't know what else to say here, It's time for me to head to church.

He's going to be missed.

Some of them are probably web crawlers, spiders you name it. I have an addon on my forums that tell me who is actually a guest and who is actually a spider,

I have to switch to my belkin during the day when I have internet access allowed by my parents. They are smart enough to judge by the blinking lights to see that I am on. If I stayed with the linksys, the belkin would show no activity. Plus, I need to be on the belkin so I know when my parents unplug it, that way I know if I need to hide the fact I am on the internet if my parents come up stairs.
