That's exactly the setup. The linksys is Taped and riveted under the desk where the connections are. :)

Actually, here's an update. And this will better explain why I have two routers (copied and pasted from the irc)

Quote(2:09:44 PM) squirrelof09: any networking specialist around right now?
(2:09:59 PM) TwinShadow: I don't really specialize in networking personalyl
(2:10:00 PM) squirrelof09: Trying to get this answered, http://www.bzuniverse.com/forum/index.php/topic,10092.0.html
(2:10:01 PM) TwinShadow: personally*
(2:10:36 PM) VSMIT: Why are you running two routers?
(2:11:06 PM) squirrelof09: Well, let's just say I have a wireless card in my desktop PC. mom doesn't know I threw a linksys router in the cables downstairs :p

All other computers in the house connect to the belkin (which is last in line). I would connect to he linksys to be able to either, host on bz2 or be on the internet when I really am not supposed to be. The problem is, anytime I would host bz2 on the linksys, all webtraffic would come to a complete stop on the belkin... Immediately after I ended my hosting session web traffic would resume.

Well, with that issue answered, I still need to test if hosting causes web traffic to completely stop now. If I have problems at that step, I'll be back.

Thanks again VSMIT.

Overdrive Terminal / Hosting behind two routers?

Of all people on the community I should at least know how to figure this one out...

I've got two routers, One is a linksys and one is a belkin. First of all. I freaking hate belkin. Now,

Here's my setup

[The internet]--------Linksys--------Belkin

I have successfully port forwarded my linksys router, so that's out of the question. It's my belkin router, which is second in line that I can't seem to get ports exposed to the internet on. I don't know what I'm missing, the subnat mask are the same on both routers.

Linksys router IP 192.168.3.1
Belkin Router IP 10.1.10.1 which is set to get a static IP from linksys (192.168.3.8 ). I've told my linksys router to DMZ to 192.168.3.8, and forwarded my ports on my belkin to my machine I'm trying to expose ports on.

Maybe I'm missing something here... Is it even possible to expose ports behind my set up?

Hello Italian. I'm Italian too.

YOu installed the g66 beta 38 to the battlezone II directory, correct?

Also, at the time you were trying to play g66... Were you trying to join a server that was hosting a g66 game? Or were you host?

It is a bit hard to understand you. Perhaps type everything in italian and use a translator to convert to english. Translators aren't the best, but I think we can manage that way :).

It does work. It's more risky to try it and to depend on it.

I'll help. I'm a good tester, I've been helping RD out finding little bugs and problems. I'm not an extensive modder, but I do understand the lines in ivtank.odf :). I am never leaving this battlezone game. I will be able to host within a two weeks to month. I am moving out of the parents house by Thursday and will be back online by Saturday at the latest.

If you have any questions, I am easy to find around here ;)

Thanks

There's a guy around here who will do that work for $500. but, if he's unsuccessful $100. You up to mailing in your hard drive down here in Alabama? If that interests you, I'll give you the information you need to send it in.
