friends list?

if a server is closed.. and u want the server to tell you to open up there is no way...

in 1.2 u could "knonck"
when u try to join full / pw / locked game it gives the server some weird error "-winscock error bla bla destroying --joiner"
or something like that... if u get few of those in a raw u usaly open up to see who it is...
i wonder if theres anyway to make friends list? and like whisper em like in b.net
or just send a msg to server (or all the players in that session)
like a "send msg" button near the join server
then u can tell them its you and ask if you can join in... the respond can be by /nick from those in the session
cause u see their nicknames from outside
