suggestions for task monitor

any suggestions on a program that can monitor and kill any unseen background services?

task manager is limited.

i found one: security task manger

the program works like a charm, but i wonder if they themselves have a script running monitoring my browsing or who knows what else.

i read somewhere on the internet of microsoft having some type of file not known to the general public in windows. it was speculated that this EXTRA file was some type of hidden trojan that was created because of national security.
figure that one out?
