Can't play BZ retarded av plz help

I can start BZ2 normaly and when i get into a mission i see a crosshair and everything for about a second and the game crashes and i get his err msg:

And i have a BZ2 1.3 pb1 old install that works just fine in a diferent folder.

I reinstaled the game several times on diferent locations patched to 1.2 and can't solve this.
Plz help me ppl.

Well, I don't know what that AV is, but a bit more info might help...  I usually try to take it one step at a time...

The shell starts properly?
If so...
Can you start a Single Player game?
Can you start an Instant game?
Can you start an Online game?

Have you touched any stock assets or other files?
If so...
Have you deleted everything in your BINDATA folder? (might be a bad mesh)
Can you remove anything other than stock?

Like I said, one step at a time...

the games crashes when i get into a mission.
Example:
Instant mission selection, start game, game loads, i see a crosshair of my ship, then it crashes.
In other words: Can't start instant, can't start multy, can't start single.
It happens on a fresh install. I reinstalled the game several times and it pops up. Patched to 1.2, and it happens in 1.0 also.
Deleted everything in binData, same crash.

Like i said, i have an OLD 1.3 public beta install and it works fine. (1.3 is in a nother folder, i keep my modded things in it, i don't play that version)

igproj00.xsi is the pilot grenade model.

In the data.pak grenade.odf has the entry
shotGeometry = "igproj00.xsi"
I cannot find igproj00.msh in my 1.2 install.
In the addon folder there should be another grenade.odf, it has the entry
shotGeometry = "iggren00.xsi" which does have a msh.
This would fix the original bug... I don't understand how the unpatched game can work, but it does usually.

You said you did a complete 1.2 reinstall, so things should just *work*, since BZ2 doesnt use the windows registry or anything else which could mess it up.

Is the version of BZ2 that you're playing an english version? I have heard of problems with non-english versions of BZ2 in 1.2, though I would think that the issue shouldnt have anything to do with textures and models (mostly with keys and controls AFAIK)

In any event since you already have a legal copy of BZ2, would you like me to send you the link to the 1.2 all-in-one torrent? (its a big file, about >800MB)

Another thing you could try is reinstalling DirectX because I think that might be the problem there.

Another thing you could try is installing Service Pack 2 for XP since I recall you telling me that you are only on SP1. As a force of habit, for my line of work, I carry a full installer for SP2 on one of my thumbdrives. If your home connection isnt fast enough then you can try downloading that from somewhere else.

No need on dling bz, since this cd is working. I installed it at my friend and it works. Now i'll go with directX reinstall and see where that leads me.

Thou i think Nathan should have a look at this and give me his opinion. I'll let you know if directX thing works.

It's complaining that it's trying to end the current scene, but there's no active scene. I don't see any errors generated when starting the scene, so the scene somehow went away after opening successfully.

It could be video drivers. You didn't update did you? It seems the newest drivers have lately been the bane of my existance. I ended up getting a newer card! Different brand too.

It's identical to a problem I had, hence my post.  The exe is running from one folder, but it says to use another, creating a mismatch in the builds, therefore giving you the error in yellow:

Check the folder (teal) used in the shortcut.  It should not match the folder where the exe was.

Also (orange), you should update XP to SP2
