Where is the Editor in TA5?

Hey guys,
where the heck is the Editor for bz2 located?
I've got ta5 and Fe installed and want to know how i can edit the FE maps,but i hadn't found any hint for the editor.Tried search,but nothing which would help me.
Hope you got an idea.

Thx for ya Editor,but it won't work.If i locate the bz.exe i just get the error sound,nothing happens.Moreover i haven't got a bzedit.exe,that's why i'm wondering where the editor in ta5 is,or why yours won't work.

bz2edit.exe

it will be in root directory, same place as bzone.exe. If it isnt there youve deleted it, and you need to re-install battlezone and TA5.

It's not there.Do i have to install bz2,then a patch,for example 1.3 pba3/4 and then ta5?
I've installed bz2 and ta5 multiple times,but it didn't have the editor.

By default, Windows will hide the ".exe" from the name. So, it may show up as 'bz2edit'. Look for a file with that name, and the BZ2 icon on it. Since the regular (multiplayer) build is bzone.exe, look for either bz2edit.exe/bz2edit to match the bzone.exe/bzone, depending on your settings. If you run bz2edit.exe (just double-click it), and log in, the movie in center of the main shell screen (i.e. where you pick Singleplayer/Instant Action/MP/etc) will be replaced by some text saying "this is the editor build."

Alright,got it....just one problem.The editor  (the one from you Zero Angel) isnt able to open up FE maps...someone got a clue how to modify them?

Yeh you have to open up FE in the editor. If youre using TA5 you create shortcut to bz2edit.exe on the desktop, and add the following (WITHOUT quotes) to its path:

" /config febzone.cfg"

make sure 'febzone' is the right configuration file to load FE assets. This is the easiet way to do it.

I'm using TA5,but if i want to add /config febzone.cfg to the path,i get an error.Damn,i just want this editor to wark...

like i said, CHECK that i gave you the right filename. i dont have FE for 1.3, so youll have to look for it in root directory to make sure you have the right filename.

put a space between .exe and the slash.

Nice,works with
"C:\Battlezone 2\BZ2Edit.exe" /config FEbzone.cfg
but,i receive an error...,i'll re-install it,let's see if it works

Edit:Didn't work.Here is the error:

FE isnt compatible or tested with TA5. it probably wont work. just edit in 1.2 and update later.

But how do i edit in 1.2?
If i update a fresh isntall of BZ2 to 1.2 there isn't a editor arround

Dude.. you are using the 1.2 version of FE in 1.3. I can tell that from the shell AV.
It doesn't work.
You will need the 1.3pb3 version of FE.

And if you want to edit in 1.2, all you have to do is go into the console ingame, and type game.cheat bzeditor.
Others would merely say it was good humour.

In 1.2 the editor is built right into bzone.exe and is invoked by adding /edit (and optionally mapname.bzn) to the shortcut or by typing game.cheat.bzedit into the console while the map is loaded. Even better, get the TV Dev system for 1.2 FE -- its exactly like the one in the link I gave you before except its specifically designed for 1.2/FE instead of 1.3/stock
